What an absolute joke of a company. I’ve never left a bad review on anything in my life but today that has to change. Some of the most unprofessional employees I’ve ever dealt with and that’s if you can even speak to someone. I tried to get in touch with the owner Fred for the past 6 days with endless emails and voicemails. Every time I call I am told he is “on another call” or “just stepped out of the office”. Fred is an absolute coward who is afraid to speak to me and face the lies he told me last time we spoke. He has delayed the closing of our house twice now and doesn’t even have the decency to call a customer back. His staff have started to just hang up the phone on me and I’m told there’s nobody I can speak to that can help. Once again, I’ve never left a bad review on anything. I understand people have bad days and leaving bad reviews can destroy their business, but in this case it is 100% necessary to bring to light the unprofessionalism and absolute joke Fred and his company are UPDATE : looks like my review finally caught Fred’s attention. Finally got a call back from him after dodging me for a week only for him to threaten to use his police contacts to have me arrested 🤣

I worked there 1991 for about 1 year. They hire employees that should not have access to the kind of information they can access.. the life line is the only part of the business they focus on back the. They lack everything. There was a fat young guy that kind of was a salesman/office supervisor( a clown that would date from the staff)and a guy named fred, that if he is still alive I am shocked guy smoked every minute ( back then you could smoke at work ) they pay low, so the employees represent that pay. Cant believe people do business with amcest. a little ghetto business. owner as I remember was of short and the usual stingy type.

Worst alarm company. Very rude, don’t understand their own products and they lie. They convinced me to put a wireless connector on a new door not realizing that my system is not compatible with wireless. Then tried to charge me for an entirely new wireless system. Then they said they would fix by hardwiring for free and put in writing but when the time came they would not put in writing. BAIT AND SWITCH! BEWARE!!!

Absolutely the worst alarm company I have ever dealt with. Rude condescending people who treat you horribly and absolutely refuse to help you at all. We had a real alarm they never called us or the police about. and had an alarm trigger that we turned off and they again never called us and sent the police who charged us for a false alarm

My Mom has been using AMCEST since her stroke in 2009. She lives 1 hour away from me and lives alone. AMCEST gave us all peace of mind for her to remain independent. However, they have changed and are no longer the reliable kind company they were. We switched systems after Mom was yelled at over the speaker when she called for help. Seriously? To an 88 year old woman? My Mom had to insist on a new device when it was faulty. However the new wrist bracelet didn’t work. I requested a new bracelet and it was to be mailed out Friday. It never arrived. I called AMCEST and it ends up it never was mailed. Mom was using her Jitterbug to call for help (she fell). I’m disgusted with their lack of concern for a client. No response from Fred who initially signed us up. For shame.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I got a call from the owner Fred who was trying to set up a home monitoring system for my relative. I asked him for a written quote of prices emailed to be. He told me to go to a website called mypersys.com. I also asked him for his last name and he would not give it to me. I repeated that I would like a written quote sent to my email address, and he hung up the phone on me. Please be aware that this may very well be someone trying to rip off elders. I am a healthcare worker, and someone who is unwilling to give a written quote of prices and services is highly suspicious. Upon further review if you look at the reviews for the company, the only good ones seem to be from someone who looks suspiciously the same, but has different names. I tried to post the photos in this post it won’t let me.
