Wash-New Remodeling Des Moines 8 months agoMy mother and I were looking for an honest company to give her home a facelift. This is her forever home. She’s been there for more than 60 years. We hired this company because during our initial walk through, Eon kept referring back to how my mother most likely felt about certain things he saw. He sat down with my mother and I and he listened. When finished, he again sat down with my mother and made sure she was happy with the results. She was very happy. Members of our small community (Granger) complimented the job done and we’ve referred him on more than a couple of occasions. If you want someone that cares about you and the quality of work they do, give them a call. Thanks again to Eon and his crew.

The Weitz Company 3 months agoThis company has no regards for the safety of their employees. They brush the injuries under the rug and refuse to get them proper medical care. They also make their employees suffer while working injured.

Taylor Exteriors & Construction llc a day agoTaylor Exteriors completed a number of exterior projects on our family’s home including a new asphalt shingle roof, new lp smartside siding, trim, fascia, and soffits, new seamless gutters, replaced concrete for our garage, driveway, and sidewalks, and poured a new concrete patio. There are exposed nail penerations in the roof allowing water to leak into the roof. The transition between the roof and siding between garage and house is not flashed properly and water leaks in, all the way down, and out of the bottom of our walls when it rains. Picture below. There are a number of unpainted exposed nails in the siding that violate the manufacturers installation requiments for their warranty. There were multiple holes in our gutters and drip edge that will allow water to run behind them and cause premature damage and rot. In one stretch of gutter, 5 of 9 gutter hangers present were not attached to the fascia at all. Multiple gutter hangers pictured below had 5 holes in the gutter and drip edge, but were not attached to the fascia. Pictured below is an approximate 2 inch gap in the gutters filled with a large amount of sealant. The sealant says it should only be used on up to 1/4 inch gaps. Cracked boards were present in the siding. Rafter vents were not installed properly in the attic space. They should be stapled to the underside of the roof sheathing inbetween the rafters to ensure adequate ventillation between the soffit and attic. They were littered across the insulation broken, sideways, and upside down with none attached to the sheathing between the soffit and attic spaces resulting in poor roof ventilation and eventual moisture buildup and premature decay. Then there were some small instances of cost cutting that felt odd for the price of the work. The garage door weather stripping broke during removal and they wanted to reinstall it. I replaced it with new weather stripping myself. They also tried to reuse the old damaged and discolored bathroom and dryer vent caps and outlet covers.

Taylor Builders 2 days agoBathroom remodel- really good and ethical. Extremely impressed with every single worker that came in the door. Even the owner came over to help and advise. Price good- estimate said it could take a week but done in 2 days without skirting any corners. Highly recommend

Skold Construction Services 2 months agoIf I could put a negative 10 I would- they are a horrible company to work for. They hire racist people and when it is brought to their attention they do nothing about it. They fire employees for following directives that are given but only write up the person giving the directive. This company deserves to be shut down for the horrible business practices they follow. DO NOT WORK FOR THEM!!!

Silent Rivers Design+Build 9 months agoFive stars for Ezra, Walter, & Luke on our kitchen remodel! I highly appreciated their eye for detail and craftsmanship, particularly Ezra who was a delight to spend a few weeks with in our home. You will spend more money here than with other contractors, but if you are looking for precision, quality, or anything custom-solutioned, it’s well worth the cost. Ezra & team matched our existing cabinet wood & finish to modify & repair a hole where a built-in fridge had been extracted. Luke picked out some excellent sink/hardware options that matched my mood board and were of high quality. I didn’t have to worry about subcontractor scheduling, and everyone from SR was highly professional and easy to work with. We will definitely return when we are ready to start on our bathroom remodel!
