Wow! I wish we would have found these reviews before we purchased VIVINT 3+ years ago. Where to start…the hardware is terrible—none of the sensors worked after 5 months. The wall panel makes a loud beeping noise just about two weeks. For no reason, the alarm randomly sets itself but never goes off. We called customer service one day and they wanted us to pay their technician to come out even though we are still under contract. Avoid this company at all cost. These people are not telling lies. I would have did better protecting our home with Google’s equipment.

I called customer service to get two 10 year old thermostats replaced (been with them 10 years).The rep told me that they would cost $200 a piece plus installation fee (that I dont need) or she could upgrade me to a better system that cost more per month with a $400 credit that would cover the thermostats. But I’d have to commit to an additional 24 months on the current contract. Does this mean Vivint doesn’t stand by its equipment that customers are paying for? I’m going on all social media platforms, telling friends, family and colleagues to NOT subscribe to Vivint. I’m also drafting a letter to corporate to see if they are aware of the current practices. Vivint was hit with a class action lawsuit. Maybe it’s time for a government entity to review their current practiced. In the meantime, I’m canceling my subscription!

Cancelled my service in December of 2023 and still being charged today. I do not recommend anyone getting Vivint. I had them for 6yrs. There were times when the alarm would go off for no reason. Be careful in getting this service. Corporate won’t even help.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They charge $100 service fee to come out anytime there’s a problem. Our driveway camera has been offline for weeks. We’ve spoken to phone tech support several times without any solution. Tonight the phone operator told my husband he would have to get on the room to access the camera. The equipment belongs to Vivint. Essentially we are paying for a service Vivint isn’t providing due to their faulty equipment. Consider the 1 star reviews before going with this company.

Do not go with Vivint. The sales person in North Alabama and there corporate are terrible at solving issues. They will NOT help you. If you are in The Shoals do not use them. Do not believe what the sales person tells you.

Would never recommend this company! We were told if we swapped to them that they would pay off our balance with the security company we had at the time. It has been over two months and they have yet to send anything. We have called and texted the sales guy numerous times and he will not even return our call. Now we are out $600 that we would have never been out of it he wouldn’t have told us a bunch of lies!! He also told us the equipment was cheaper than what we are having to pay. Stay far away from this company!

Even if they were the very last security system on earth I would never use Vivant. What an absolute disastrous nightmare it has been to cancel this account. On the phone for 45 minutes and I don’t know if it even worked. If a salesman comes to my house again I will call the police. I would rather personally patrol my house all night long than use them again.

Worst company! Tech’s don’t show up and they certainly don’t bother to let you know they aren’t coming to the scheduled appt! Customer service is even worse! Vivint doesn’t care about their customers & I am so glad I am switching to a different home security company!!
