Schlick Landscaping Inc 5 years agoGary at Schlick helped promptly address our emergency. Background: In June 2017, we had hired another company to provide professional grading around a new pool to ensure we directed water away from the pool and house. They claimed to be qualified and knowledgeable – they were not. They did not know what a swale was. They graded the yard so that all soil ran towards the pool and house and insisted that once the sod was down, it would be fine. We had two visits by the town complaining there was dirt on the street and in a neighbor’s yard and were told to use silt fencing. They still did not clean up after their work (so we did) and they did not feel it was necessary to use silt fencing. The next day, we had a rainstorm and had a mudslide in the pool and towards the house. Resolution: This left us in a state of emergency – we put up silt fencing ourselves and we hired a pool company to clean and flock our brand new pool, which was filled with mud. We were vulnerable to any rain which would continue to direct water and soil into the pool and towards the house. I called Schlick Design and Gary, a landscape architect, came over. He quickly assessed the grading issue and was able to regrade the yard with swales to direct water away from the pool and house, and install sod. Gary and his team are extremely knowledgeable, professional and educated in landscape architecture and design. He was a life saver. In addition to grading, I also hired his team for landscaping (2017 & 2018). He was instrumental in introducing us to trusted partners to handle irrigation, tree trimming, and lawn care, among others. We feel very well taken care of and fully trust this team.

Strikehard Mechanical 8 months agoAndy of Strikehard Mechanical has been absolutely awesome. He uncovered a complex wiring and systematic problem with my heating system. And he has been resolving it for me, step by step, in an honest and efficient way. There are still a few things to do, but Andy’s customer service, knowledge, and kindness has been everything.
