Scam. A salesman just showed up at my door, claiming my current home security provider was requesting my system get an upgrade and that my rates were going go go up. He initially tried to pass it off as a routine upgrade from my current security provider. After sending him away and calling my current home security provider, I can confirm that this was a straight up lie. He was trying to sell me a new system with a different provider. These guys will lie to you, if they show up at your door, do not entertain them.

This is an awful company that is extremely abusive to its customers. We started with Brinks because the home we bought had a system already. Little did we know that they couldn’t reactivate the system, so a whole new system was sent. When we had a few installation issues (new security panel could not wire into the existing box), the techs had no idea what to do. At one point, they suggested running extension cords all over our house! Since then, it’s been malfunction after malfunction. To top it off, now that we want to separate from them due to their poor customer service, they are now claiming we are under contract even though we’ve signed no contract and agreed only to the month by month plan. Now I’m literally looking at putting a lawyer on retainer just to get rid of this parasite of a company. Avoid these people at all costs!
