I own in Villages of Parkwood. Was at pool where these people do security. The man was caught taking pictures of people at the pool. Of age and under age were present. My wife caught him taking the pictures, then he smiled at her. She then told me and I confronted the man and asked if he indeed took pictures of people who are private residents on private property in a gated community. My problem is that my HOA fees should not be used to pay some security guy to come on private property and violate the privacy of the Owners! We have over 10 cameras in that area on the property that could have been used to verify anything he needed (if that were the case) other than him using his private personal phone to take, record, log, and keep private individuals and children’s pictures at a pool in his phone. After I confronted him he fumbled with the phone, and made excuses on how he didn’t know how to find his gallery. And acted as if he didn’t frequently use it, but after 10 minutes of fumbling with the phone, before he would show anybody, when he did open it up there was lots of pictures. So for him to act like he didn’t know how to get to his gallery to show people that he wasn’t taking pictures of them, and taking 10 minutes to do so, shows us that he pretty much was deleting or relocating pictures at that point in time. I immediately call my HOA Board and complained. Update 10-09-18. Company sent a supervisor the next day. She made excuses for the guy rather than assure us that it wouldn’t happen again. He showed us the pictures on his phone. She still didn’t want to hear it. I told her it is illegal for someone to come into private property and take unwanted pictures of people against there will on the private property. She then went to antagonize me by taking my picture while I’m in a private building and private property and laughing in my face while doing so. I consulted a Lawyer and if I wanted I could file charges against her for doing so. So my point is, they do what they want regardless of the law and the peoples input, even though we pay them to protect us. They are the very people we need to be protected from. No competence or consideration for our privacy as far as I have seen. We will be voting to remove this company from our private gated neighborhood.
