Before Paul and his crew worked on our deck, it had seen better days: It had planks that were soft and breaking apart, lattice work that was missing, balusters that were warped, top rails that were pulling away from each other, and an overall splotchy coloration from the unevenly fading stain applied years (a decade?) ago. All this was fixed by Paul in the span of a few days: The deck was stripped, washed, and sanded before being stained. New planks were installed. The skirting lattice, balusters, and top rail were adjusted/replaced. We also had him extend the deck railing system to improve safety for our toddler. Our deck now has an more even reddish-brown hue, and the finished product resembles something straight from a catalog. A few days ago, my wife remarked how much more pleasant it is to walk on the deck barefoot. Throughout the process, Paul kept me in the loop. He was very communicative on possible weather disruptions and availability of stains. Whenever we peered through our patio door, we’d find him and his crew working away, fully engrossed in their project. (I use “their” intentionally as it is obvious from their dedication that they take pride in delivering a perfect outcome. Paul has a keen eye for detail.) Most importantly, I’m finally able to enjoy my “new” deck. Thank you!

Our deck was in great need of repair. Replace boards on the deck. Reinforced rail, replaced steps on both ends. Remarkable improvement. Stripped the floor and did lots of sanding. I’m sure I missed some of the work. We are very pleased. Would recommend.

Started out recently to do an amateur basement job and after tearing into things quickly realized I was a bit in over my head. Some of the plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and flooring issues were more than I have the training and/or expertise for. After calling around, Paul was the most prompt to return my call and schedule an appointment. During the visit I was impressed with his knowledge and suggestions. Based on his obvious experience, current availability, and fair price I decided to hire. Paul was there from day one on time and every day during the project. I specifically liked hearing about what was going to be tackled the next morning every evening he left for the day. Satisfied homeowner here and will hire ADR again when needed. My only complaint is that my basement now makes the rest of my house look older!

Paul was quick to respond to my request for an estimate, and explained the work he was going to do for what I needed. He did the work quickly, and charged a very reasonable price for time and materials. He was friendly and had no problem answering my questions. I would definitely hire him again for future projects

We had our bathroom remodeled and a wall built in our basement. Paul did an exceptional job. We are very impressed with the amount of detail that Paul put into matching the wood trim in our basement. Both projects look to have been original to the house. Our projects were reasonably priced and completed quickly. We will recommend Paul to anyone needing household projects done and will call ADR again for future projects.
