Yanke Construction, Inc. 3 months agoExtraordinary Service, Quality Work, Very Professional My wife and I hired Yanke Construction to correct an erosion problem on our property. We purchased our hilltop dream house backing to a creek in 2019 only to discover the hill was collapsing into the creek in 2020. We spent the next three years searching for and hiring people who could not complete the job. In 2023 we contacted Darren and Max. It was turnkey from there. They hired the river consultant and geotechnical engineer took care of all the permits both state and local. They even helped us arrange access to the job site with the neighborhood association across the creek. During the two months of our project the professional crew started each day at 7:30 and cleaned up each night. My neighbors even complimented us on the care Yanke took of their property. Over the course of our project, we had to reroute the creek behind our home, putting it back to its original course. Yanke had to build a road on our property and installed 1000+ tons of oversize limestone, 300 tons of 1×3 limestone, and 800 tons of river stone/material. Yanke also constructed three beautiful retaining walls, poured a brand-new driveway, and constructed a set of stone steps into our front yard. I can’t say enough good things about Yanke Construction, the professionals they hired on our behalf, Darren, Max, and the entire crew. They were a pleasure to work with and literally kept our home out of the creek.

NRC Builder 3 years agoNRC was able to renovate/update my home with prompt timing, on a very strict budget. They provided fantastic customer service as well. Hands down, the best renovation contractor in the industry! Highly recommended!

Northville Finished Basements 2 months agoFinishing our basement was a long time dream project and we had plenty of ideas around the vision of an ideal basement, one that caters to all our needs yet presents the final product in its most effective aesthetic setting. We needed a partner who could advise us, challenge us and deliberate with us on design and execution. After a reasonable search we fortuitously found Ryan Overmyer of Northville Finished Basements. Me and my wife cannot say enough great things about Ryan’s meticulous process, planning, design and execution. His understanding of any given basement and opportunities and pit falls it may present is top notch and allows him to advise you on the best way to navigate and come out on top with an option that is structurally feasible and optically appealing. Another awesome aspect of execution is predictability of finish date as Ryan takes one project at a time and keeps you apprised every step of the way on next steps and expectations. Needless to say, we loved working with Ryan and would recommend him and Northville Finished Basements to anyone seeking a quality product while getting most value for their money.

Home Building Solutions 3 months agoUnfortunately, not the place to call if you want to get a quote back on your project that you need completed. I called HBS for a quote to get our master bathroom refinished/renovated to pre-loss condition (due to a water leak). Tom came out to review the bathroom and affected areas in the below floors, and told me I’d be able to see a quote within a couple of weeks. At the same time, I had filed a claim with my insurance company to cover the cost to get it back to pre-loss condition. I was patient. Called after a few weeks to check-in and was told that some people were out due to illness and it’ll be another week…nothing. Called again and was told they’d get back to me. And now have gotten to the point where it feels obvious that my calls are being screened and sent to voicemail. I had full intentions of using Home Building Solutions as our contractor for our repairs and potentially future renovations in our new-to-us home based on the initial walk-through with Tom, but instead now I’m left calling around trying to find others to do the same work. Hope that this review helps others avoid the mistake the first time around.
