Worse handyman I’ve ever hired. Does not backup his work nor return your calls once done never returns. Increases his estimate after finishing job. Fixed a minor door lock adjustment for 100$ and refused to backup his work after it did not work properly. Stay away from this unprofessional handyman.

Never finished our written agreement….it’s been a year …I’ve texted and called …only excuses.even said he had the materials in his truck at one point … .Ben. I don’t get it ??

Ben does good work, but cuts a lot of corners. If you want a job done and the final look of the project isn’t important they are great but if you want your repair job to be done right and look professionally completed, use someone else. I hired them twice giving him the benefit of the doubt and got the same type of results both times. I included a picture of the second job. I hired them to repair the drywall in my garage. I had to ask him to cut the foam he used to at least make it look flush. He did not replace the drywall as we agreed on when I hired him. He instead patched the old one without telling me he was not doing the agreed upon work. This is in a garage with the pool pump so it’s not the worst job, but not what we’re agreed and doesn’t look like I paid a professional to repair it. Update: 5/6/23 The facia board panels he replaced are falling out of place.

If you are considering hiring the services of Ben And Sol, WAIT! First read this review. We hired Ben and Sol to paint the exterior of our house. I think the first mistake I made was hiring a handyman to paint my house and not a professional painting company. Ben’s team is very polite and hard-working but they arrived at more or less 11:30am to start the day. Of course, if you start working at mid day you will have fewer hours of daylight to work with. This is what happened next, the last two days they worked during the night! Can someone explain to me how painting at night you are able to see the details of what you’re exactly painting? (Common sense…) And hence, many details were left out. Second mistake, was not having in writing every minor detail that Ben had to fix. Certain things were discussed and verbally said but since they were not in the contract, he told us that it was not his job to fix them. Third mistake, was agreeing to pay him the 2nd portion without having finished the job and seeing the outcome. His speech was, “he was in negative numbers and needed the money.” My husband and I felt sorry for him, and we decided to trust him and finish paying him without doing a proper walk through with him. We have no complaints about his wife and his team, they are very kind… perhaps it is the best thing the company has. At the end, he told us that the job was finished and when we checked the house, we saw that there were many details and a piece of the wall that had not been painted.(Obviously, if you paint at night… you can’t see the details). We called him and he did agreed to fix it. He came at night again and painted some details in a rush. The next morning we saw that there were still the same marks from the stairs (at a fairly high height) that weren’t fixed. We called him again and this was when he told us that maybe he could come in 2 weeks… or that my husband could just fix it… my husband? Ben was paid for a service and we have to finish it? A complete nightmare what we live with this company. To conclude, If you agree to hire their services. Leave all the details as minor as they are in the contract. Definitely do not finish paying until the job is completed and you have done a proper walk through. We hope we have been helpful in making your decision… we on the other hand will never hire them again!

My wife and I hired Ben & Sol to fix a myriad of things before we moved in to a house. Most importantly they are responsive and hard working. We are very happy to have hired them and will continue using them in the future. Great communication and very clean. It’s a family business and they are all very pleasant to work with.

Ben and Michael showed up as agreed and were punctual. The work done was of poor to mediocre quality. I have to fix and redo some of the work. If you are looking for good quality and finishing touches, look for someone else.

Ben was super professional and came the same day. He and his helper were able to complete the few things I needed and affordable. Highly recommend.
