We have a 60 year old red oak floor with black walnut pegs that sustained some damage. Our home has been in our family for nearly 53 years, so we wanted a company who would respect the history that our home and this beautiful wood floor represents to us. After researching companies in our area, we contacted Nick at Columbus Flooring Restoration / Installation. Nick took the time to really listen to our concerns and needs. He provided detailed information about what his company would do and then met with us to inspect the floor. His expertise was evident and we had no doubt that we wanted his company to refinish our floor. He was able to create a custom stain to match our floor. He sent Corey to complete the refinishing. Corey, also an expert in wood flooring, was wonderful. He explained what to expect and answered all of our questions through the process. Both Nick and Corey are artisans who know how to restore and care for wood floors. The result was perfection. We recommend this company 100%.

We called to get a quote. The owner never showed up. Called with excuses and when my husband tried to get a time The owner called him a effing -n word-cu$&. Then he said if we gave a bad review he would come to our house-he threatened us!!! How does this company have a good rating???

Nick is knowledgeable and knows his business. That is why I chose to go with his company for floor installation and refinishing work. Logistically all went smoothly and the men doing the work were efficient and very neat. No complaints there. My dissatisfaction is with the unprofessional and rude response from Nick (all communication via text, no phone call) when I asked him to stop by and take a look at a problem with one of the boards. The abrasive and defensive tone of his initial response was offensive. My experience with past contractors has been that if the customer has a concern whether deemed valid or not, it is addressed and discussed in a positive and professional manner. I would expect this especially from the owner of the company. Nick later backtracked — asking me to send a photo of the area of concern. He said he was not averse to stopping by, but did not attempt to set up an appointment as I requested. He did not see the finished floors. He last saw them after the installation. I take responsibility for paying Nick in full after the work was completed, naively thinking that he would professionally address my concern regardless of payment. That’s on me. I now have no recourse. Nick prides himself on saying that he doesn’t get paid unless the customer is satisfied. My advice — do not pay in full until all your concerns are addressed. I had additional floor refinishing scheduled for March. I have cancelled the work with the company.

Nick was very knowledgeable and professional in helping us with hardwood flooring. Nick communicated with us through the entire process. Matt installed new hardwood floors and did a fantastic job. I highly recommend Columbus Floor Refinishing.

We are extremely happy with the refinishing and repair work Columbus Floor Refinishing did for us. The floor had several deep stains that they repaired by replacing individual boards. We were able to keep a natural finish. It looks great!

I found these guys through google and decided to use them based on their reviews, which is why I wanted to add a review of my own experience. We had our ~60 year old hardwood floors refinished by these guys and they look great! Someone commented that the floors looked brand new. These guys are legit. Honest, hardworking, good people. We coordinated through Nick and Eric performed our work. Nick was responsive and guided us through the process. Eric was fantastic, hardworking and kind. Eric managed to get numerous dark spots out and did seamless repairs on some old boards. I would definitely recommend and use these guys again. Some before and after photos.
