Joe from Sanctuary Flooring is a magician! He took on the challenge of refinished my old red oak floors. Joe changed them from ugly orange to absolutely beautiful modern light oak…exactly what I wanted! He made several sample stains on my home floors until he got the exact color I desired. The refinishing process was labor intensive requiring several applications over several days. Through the entire process Joe was communicative, professional, and determined to provide exactly what I envisioned. I highly recommend Joe and Sanctuary Flooring… you won’t be disappointed!

Joe was good to work with. We had to replace old gross carpet with wood vinyl, carpet that he removed and disposed of. He explained what options we could use and which one may be best and provided samples for different vinyl. He gave us warranty info for vinyl manufacture when asked as well as his own warranty. Finished product looks amazing, we are very pleased and are also pleased with his reasonable pricing.

Joe refinished our floors in Asheville Biltmore Park and we are very happy with his work. He communicated about what was needed as he did all the work after we closed without us even being in town. Great to work with and good value for my money Floors look like new. Thanks Joe.

We own a vacation home in the Boone/Blowing Rock area. We recently took up carpet to discover the original wood floors had some significant moisture damage, but really wanted to save them. We could not find anyone in the area that could do this work in a timely manner, so I extended my search and contacted Joe with New Earth Flooring – about an hour and a half south of us. Our experience started with Joe’s great communication skills and progressed through a job I was easily able to manage remotely (we live in Raleigh). He provided pictures and advise along the way and timed the project out to accommodate us between renters. We paid a bit more for him to travel, but it was worth it! Also, he was very fair and stuck with his original quote even though the job ended up costing him more than anticipated. I love the way the floors turned out!

My husband is a general contractor. He builds and remodels homes and we both own rental property in the Black Mountain/Asheville areas. We first heard about Joe Hallock and New Earth Flooring in May 2014 when we had to evict tenants due to their hoarding and disgusting living habits. Needless to say the wood floors in several areas were absolutely ruined! Both my husband and Joe agreed that in all of their years in the business they had never seen worse!! It was absolutely horrific!! Rather than replace the wood throughout the 3 major rooms Joe was able to work his magic! He matched the wood, grain and color as best that he could. The refinished hardwood pine floors are still gorgeous and the price was surprisingly reasonable!! Since then my husband uses New Earth Flooring exclusively in the homes that he builds. Joe and his helper recently completed refinishing the wood floors of my vacation rental home, The Red Cottage in Black Mountain (photo’s attached). These 2 men were amazingly fast, efficient and the floors are BEAUTIFUL!! In just 4 days they were able to move out all the furniture, remove/replace 1/4 round molding, sand, apply 3 coats of polyurethane, move all of the furniture back in AND there was not a huge amount of sanding dust all over the place!! Joe at New Earth Flooring is our go-to guy for all of our flooring needs. He is very personable, knowledgable and hardworking. His quotes are accurate for cost and timeframes given. New Earth Flooring gets a 5-Star rating in our book! We would not hesitate to recommend Joe Hallock to anyone looking for outstanding service, workmanship AND at an affordable price!!
