I can not say enough good things about Stephen and his son Craig! They came to my home to repair flooring that was damaged by a washing machine mishap. My insurance company did not want to cover the damage. Stephen spoke with them directly and explain the issues and they covered it. Their attention to detail and their meticulousness is something I have never seen from any other company. And I have had a lot of work done in my house in the past two years! They are truly professionals, who know wood flooring inside and out. They take pride in their work, and it shows. They are also both friendly and warm and so easy to talk to. They are just good people. I wish we had more like them in the world.

Stephen and Craig did a wonderful job refinishing our old hardwood flooring that was painted by prior owners. Stephen was very quick to answer any questions/concerns I had during the process and was a wealth of knowledge. You can tell they both take pride in their work and love what they do. Referred to Heffernan Hardwood Floors by a cabinet vendor, Stephen Heffernan provided in depth knowledge of hardwood floor care and refinishing. He and his son Craig began refinishing our 1951 red oak floors on a Monday, completing the job on Wednesday. I can’t say enough great things about Stephen and Craig Heffernan! Was referred to them by a neighbor and am so glad we found them. I wanted to keep our original 1930s wood floors but had another large company in town tell us we needed all new floors because there was too much patchwork to be done after removing walls and we wouldn’t be happy the with the results. Our contractor had also done significant damage with scratches and dents during demo. Stephan came over and wasn’t scared by them at all. He was confident he could make them look good as new and he came through on his promise! The pictures below don’t even do it justice how bad it was before and how gorgeous they are now… (stairs not completed). The work they do is true artisanship and he is a perfectionist! They blended old and new wood seamlessly and found and repaired termite damage in the original wood. They mixed colors until we found the perfect stain color. He was patient through issues with our contractor and always wanted to do what was right and best for us, not cutting corners to move on to the next job, even when ours took longer than expected. Our house isn’t even completed yet but I go over there just to lay on and admire the floors. I can’t wait to enjoy them over the next few decades and glad we didn’t toss them to the curb like other “experts” suggested. And we aren’t just happy with the results, we’re elated. Thank you Stephen and Craig!

We had this company come and give us a quote. We agreed to all terms. We then began together process of getting the floor color we wanted. After over a month and a half of working on the color choice and taking multiple samples of our wood, they decided to stop returning our calls, emails and text messages. They completely wasted 2 months of our time and I do not recommend their services.
