Worst customer service in the industry. If you are rude, don’t know anything about and have no desire to learn about tile this is the place for you to work. I am a general contractor and do a lot of tile work through Minnesota tile, Kate-lo, tile shop ect. I tell my clients if they find tile anywhere we can work with the supplier but I have been telling the for the last couple years that tile x design is the worst to deal with and they sell substandard materials. This last job is making me tell my clients that tile x design is the only supplier that we will not work with. We got a bad batch of tile from these guys and it is like working with the government to try to get replacements. The tile we need is warehouses in the US but because of tile x designs incompetent workers and structure they are telling us we won’t get replacements for about two weeks. Not an exaggeration but we have had problems with tile x design on every order is the past 5 years or so. From everything from defective tile, missed dates and wrong product. I have actually ordered tile that was supposed to be honed but came to us polished. Tile x design told us that is the only way they can get the tile now and the sample should have been switched out a long time ago. The customer service treats you like you’re an idiot and it’s always your fault. Never have I gotten an “I’m sorry” from these people. Save your time and headache and pick one of the other dozen or so suppliers in the area because these guys are awful.

Terrible Customer Service Experience I recently had the unfortunate experience of reaching out to Tile by Design regarding the possibility of implementing our mosaics at their store. My interaction with Victoria, who I assume works there, was shockingly unprofessional and disrespectful. Upon calling the showroom and expressing my interest in discussing business opportunities, I was met with an appalling response from Victoria. Instead of directing me to the appropriate person or even offering to take a message, she bluntly stated, “no one bye,” and abruptly hung up the phone. Not only was her response dismissive and rude, but it also demonstrated a complete lack of courtesy and basic customer service skills. As someone representing the showroom, Victoria’s behavior reflects poorly on the entire establishment. It’s deeply disappointing to encounter such unprofessionalism, especially when reaching out in a professional capacity. I expected a minimum level of courtesy and respect, which were clearly absent in this interaction. In conclusion, based on my experience with Victoria, I cannot recommend Tile by Designs to anyone seeking professionalism or decent customer service. It’s evident that there are significant issues within the organization that need to be addressed promptly.

I have had a great experience with this company so far and Michelle has been very helpful and fun to work with. She Returned my call right away and spent a lot of time with me. I really appreciate it.! I’ve been to a larger competitor nearby and was not treated very well. So I would highly recommend Tile by Design in Plymouth.

This is the tile shop for honest, helpful design advice. I have been shopping here for all my projects since 2011 and I have yet to walk into this shop and not be met with friendly and professional customer service. They give functional suggestions such as…you might want to consider 2″×2″ tiles for you curbless shower floor to avoid slipping, even though you chose a tile with surface texture as shampoos make tiles more slippery. The tiles they carry are quality. Its a smaller shop, so I took one star off as their selection is a bit less than some other places in that area. But I highly recommend stopping in, especially if you need design advice.

Pretentious and rude are the first words that come to my mind, which is unfortunate. They have a fantastic selection of tile, but will settle on going to another tile shop, on principle alone. Victoria should not have a job where she interacts with people. However, I can’t say the other sales assistants were any better. No one needs to feel unwelcome or have the sales associate imply you can’t afford their tile. She had no idea my budget. While a few thousand is a drop in the bucket for them-it is still not appropriate to dismiss potential clients.

I’m constantly working on projects for multiple rental properties and while I had a good first impression with their selection, once I left their store I had multiple occasions where nobody was getting back to me about pricing and availability. So, unfortunately, I gave up and now go somewhere else for my tile needs. What a strange and disappointing experience!

Did not have a good experience with communication or receiving factual information on the availability and stocking of their products. Additionally prices are higher than competitors. I will not deal with this business in the future

They are SO NICE here. I’ve had the sales folk take time to do what feels like playing to me. Imagining different design options, experimenting w color, they make it fun. Even if U don’t buy from them! I bought accent pieces here & went elsewhere for the bulk of my needs
