We absolutely love our new kitchen! Vlad, Sergio, and team did a fantastic job replacing our countertops/backsplash, removing cabinets, and rebuilding our sink (it had leaked for a while and destroyed the cabinetry underneath!). If I had one critique it would simply be the project management system didn’t seem to be used much, so most communication was by email, which just wasn’t my preference but definitely not a blocker. In the end, they did amazing work with extreme attention to detail. I highly recommend.

AMC has done a lot of great work for us. While they most recently helped us fix our garbage disposal (so fast!) the last big project was a complete renovation of our master bathroom. The team was extremely helpful, and worked with us every step of the way to make sure the outcome met our needs. Price was extremely fair too. We’re having them help us stain our fence next and I can’t see going with any other company for our future projects as well. These are honest and hard working people! I interviewed about a dozen contractors, and this was the only one who decided to charge a (small) fee to send out a low ranked worker to take measurements so that they could send me an “estimate”. But I was unable to learn anything about the company or have any meaningful communication to compare them to others. Everyone else sent someone who could assess the challenges and discuss the job, but the guy didn’t want to say anything just measure and go. Obviously, I went with someone else. I’m writing this review so that others can save their time and just skip AMC, they are a waste of time.

We worked with AMC for a large attic renovation, turning an unfinished attic into a ~750 square foot bonus room. They did outstanding work and everyone was a pleasure to work with, and the price was very competitive, relative to other agencies in the area that provide similar remodeling services. Proactive communication and planning could use some improvement, though. We had to rework the layout of the space due to HVAC decisions that were made and not communicated until the time of installation, and the project was delayed by quite a bit due to some planning hiccups. Overall, we are really happy with the finished product and I plan on working with them on future projects.

Our experience ith AMC is overall very good. Initially took a bit of back and forth during design and selection, but we appreciate the options AMC came back with for our needs. AMC worked on complete redo of our two bathrooms, enhanced our kitchen and powder room. All of it came out very well, and we are happy with the outcome.

I recently had a leak in my home. I contacted AMC late in the evening to see if they provided after hours service because it was after 8:00 p.m. They had a technician at my home within an hour to assess the problem. The technicians was back on-site before 8:00 a.m. the next day to start repairs. They were extremely courteous and professional. I couldn’t have imagined a better outcome. I appreciate Carlos and his Team for all they do and recommend them to anyone who’s looking to have any type of renovation or repairs done to their home. Thank you, AMC!

If you’re looking for professionalism then stay far away from these people. The manager Yaima Oria only wants to email instead of speaking to customers which wouldn’t be an issue if she actually read the email and answered the questions that’s being asked. She even went as far to disregard the days I told her I was available for someone to come by and instead gave me different days. Worst customer service I’ve ever had. Update: One thing I don’t want you to do is lie about what transpired just to save face. You wanted to continue playing email tag and refused to speak with me over the phone so that things are clear. I’m fine with finding another contractor to complete the work because if this is how you guys like to do business then I can only imagine how your actual contractors are. Be truthful about what happened, so people can make an honest decision about whether they want your service or not. The irony in all of this is you were so quick to respond to this review, but couldn’t give my email the same level of attention which would have helped avoid this whole mess. Face it, you dropped the ball on this one.

Very unhappy with all interactions with this company. Scheduled to have a worker come to my home to provide an estimate. When I explained my project that I wanted done the worker didnt say much at all, pretty much just nodded his head to anything I said. There was no asking specifics, no telling me what would be more ideal for my situation, no explanation of how they would do things. Pretty much minimal interaction despite me trying to ask specifics of how things/parts of the project would work. I felt as if none of my questions were being answered. I then waited over 2 weeks for an estimate, just to be notified that I would need to talk to someone outside the company before even getting an estimate for the project- which would be hundreds of dollars extra just. Why was I not notified this at the start? Lastly, my estimate for part of the project was then emailed to me (no greeting in the email of anything, pretty much just a link) which was over DOUBLE (!!) all other estimates other local contractors provided to me. Not sure if they made the estimate so ridiculous because they don’t want to do the project, because I’m a woman and they think I don’t know any better, or what…That is a lot of money for a company who gave me so little details and specifics! I strongly suggest you re-evaluate your customer service, as I feel like just a number. In the end I went with a different company with electricians, engineers, and everyone needed for my project for half the cost and with significantly better communication- with just as great results. Can’t speak for any of their work, but honestly I do not care to know after my interactions with this company over a few weeks. After posting my review they had the inclination to comment that they saw I gave another company a 1 star review- I am sure they do great work, but they could not provide service to an area they stated they service so I was disappointed. Why would you choose a company that will jump down your throat for having an opinion? Embarrassing to see how they handle the feedback given publicly

Horrible job. Not only a bad job but used unlicensed electricians. I have to have everything redone. I have other safety issues that I have to deal with. This company has been a nightmare. Edit response: It wasn’t perfect until payment, but you wouldn’t have known that because you never had anything to do with it after quoting the job.. Your responses to negative reviews are exactly what you get with this company. Carlos is a bully. The judge told you to knock off a third of what you said we owe. Then he told us we have grounds to sue you back for the entire job to be redone with permits and licenced electricians. I’m not on a mission but I do feel like people should know you are not safe.

Overall we had a good experience with AMC Contracting and I would consider using them again for future projects. AMC handled all the demo, plumbing, electrical, painting/drywall, and appliance installation work surrounding our kitchen renovation. This was the majority of the work, and we also added on additional work in other areas of the house (interior painting, bedroom ceiling/floor repairs) that they were able to accommodate. AMC coordinated their work around the work we had already arranged (cabinet installation and floor work) without issue. We were impressed with the professionalism of the workers, and they showed up every day according to the project schedule through completion. Most communication throughout the project is handled via email. This was one of my biggest concerns going into things, but it didn’t end up being an issue for us as the project was completed to our satisfaction in a timely manner, and we always had timely responses.
