Melody was fabulous to work with! Very reasonable pricing! And the installers took their time, didn’t rush. Didn’t leave a mess. Installed our new carpet perfectly. Looks great! Thanks so much! Our entire project has been a massive headache. IFS installed laminate and vinyl tile in our home. Initially, we had a great experience. They were prompt to come out, measured our home, were very thorough to make sure they brought samples to our home that we liked, etc. We discussed when the house was measured that we would need to move the TV, but everything else would be taken care of. They were very quick to get product ordered, and from the initial in home visit to install date was about a week and a half, which we were happy with. There were several issues across the board. We were told multiple times that this crew is one of their best installers and they never have any issues. The installers came and set up their saw tables outside our door in our flower beds, on top of my flowers. I also had to contact the project manager because they were not laying down the plastic moisture barrier. I should not have to tell the installers how to install our flooring. It was very clear from the beginning that they did not respect our home or our belongings. Our kitchen dish towel was thrown on the ground outside, and we later found it completely soaked in water under our bed on our new flooring 5 days later while we were cleaning. Trim pieces with nails were left on our back patio when they left for the day the first day and our dog was almost injured. Smaller pieces of furniture were left scattered around our house where they didn’t go when they weren’t coming back for 2 days. Everything in our home, including the furniture we paid for them to move/protect was covered in a thick coat of dust. It’s taken us 6 days to clean and we are still nowhere near back to normal. Some dust is expected with a project like this, but our assumption was that the furniture would be moved out of the room they were working in or covered, and we would just need to wipe down walls/baseboards/blinds. The dust level in the house was so bad that they set the smoke alarms off 4 separate times throughout the day. No cleanup was done at all, the floors were not even broom clean. I was later told that this level of dust is to be expected, so more of a heads up than “you’ll just need to move your tv” would’ve been greatly appreciated. I also spoke to a friend who is a flooring contractor and showed him pictures, and he said that level of dust/dirt is unacceptable. Towards the end of the day, I received a text from our project manager saying that they were a few cartons short of material for the laminate, and they would have to order more. It essentially turned out to be an entire room that was missed. We had to walk around on plastic sheeting for 2 days while we waited for this to come in. They did not charge us for the extra flooring/install that wasn’t included originally, so they did make up for their error there. All of that to say, the store owner did come out to our house the next day when I requested that someone from the store come look at everything. He personally moved the furniture back to where it needed to go, and took pictures/did a thorough walk through with me to have the installers correct any issues. They did take the hit on the extra flooring that had to be ordered. The floors do look great, and they did what they could to correct issues as they arose, which is why I’m still giving them 3 stars and not 1.

Tony Strangeway was the person who helped us with our project. We had water damage and Tony was patient with us. We kept taking sample wood flooring home to see how it would look in each room. Once we decided, his team was quick to come in and replaced our entire first floor in 2 days. Including moving all of our furniture from room to room. I would highly recommend giving Tony and his team a shot at earning your business.

We had Indianapolis Floor Store back to our home this year to install some new carpeting. We enjoyed our experience with them last year when we had our downstairs floors replaced. They are so friendly and helpful, and do a wonderful job. They are easy to communicate with and I feel like they are a good value. We worked with Tony both times and he’s great. We love our new carpet!

We had IFS replace the flooring in our entire house less than a year ago. They did a beautiful job. Two days after Christmas our house got hit by a pickup truck. One room was destroyed. Including the floor. Indianapolis Floor Store, and our project manager, Tony Strangeway were on the job again. And again they rocked it out! Thank you to all at IFS.

From the start Melody was very knowledgeable and helpful in finding the right product. Phil set us up that same day with an account for future purchases. Our customer went there a couple days later to pick out flooring for the bathrooms and again Melody made her experience very pleasant. Melody has followed up a couple times to see how things were going and always responded promptly to my questions. I was beyond pleased and recommend them to other contractors and anybody in need of flooring.
