Our contractor recommended H & W Flooring in Rancho Bernardo. The owner Sam Wakil was so professional, easy to work with and made the whole process a positive experience. H & W Flooring also carries an extensive selection of flooring options. Luis our installer has many years of installing flooring, His crew was very skilled, professional and quick. Luis and his team were all focused on attention to detail throughout the whole process, respectful of our belongings and moving furniture around in every room. The first day Luis explained what his team was going to do then asked if we had any questions. At the end of EACH day, the materials and tools were neatly laid out in a spot agreed upon. Luis always explained what they were going to be doing the next day…and in the morning before they started work again he asked if we had any concerns that we would like to address. No Surprises for us or Luis. It was such a positive experience.

HW Flooring did an outstanding job on our flooring project! The owner, Sam, was a pleasure to work with and extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of the process. His demo crew and installers were among the most professional we’ve ever experienced. From demo to final install, they covered approximately 1550 sq. ft. of engineered hardwood flooring in just 8 days. The quality of their work exceeded our expectations, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. We highly recommend Sam and the HW Flooring team for anyone looking for top-notch flooring services.

We were Not happy with the material we received. The sample did not represent the actual wood planks we received since the sample was basically the darkest portion of the lot which has a lot of variations. So the finished product had a wide range of color variation and not a great match as the sample since most planks were lighter in color. I would expect the owner, Sam, to guide us on this since he told us he had this material for 8 years now. In the end, we paid a lot for product am not happy about. Definitely do not buy Timberline, gun stock, from HW.

We worked with HW flooring on LVP floor for our condo. Sam the owner is very professional. He knows the details on how to install floors properly. We have some issues with our plywood subfloor and Sam identified the issues and asked his installation team to fix them for us. In fact, he is the only person (among all other flooring companies we interviewed) that pointing out one of the issues for the subfloor. He is also very responsible after the installation. We realized one section of the LVP floor is not well-leveled. We asked to re-do that section and he promptly asked his installer to come back to fix it within couple of days. He is also very organized. He keeps track of all the payment records. He will send a invoice update after each payment is made during the project.

Sam and his team did a fantastic job or our flooring project and we couldn’t be happier. From start to finish, Sam continually communicated with us and his crew was always on time, hard working, and genuinely nice guys. Working with HW Flooring was truly amazing. My wife and I scoured online catalogs and sorted through countless wood samples until we found the engineered wood flooring that we wanted. Next we searched installers and flooring stores all throughout San Diego (from Chula Vista up to Vista) and it was clear that HW Flooring was who we were going to trust with the flooring investment for our home. Not only could they get the wood we wanted, they also offered a wealth of expertise and knowledge about the process of installing the wood flooring. The experience was friendly, transparent, and efficient. Sam at HW is a tier 1 quality business man. He was extremely competitive with his transparent itemized quote which included demo, floor prep, the wood itself, and install labor. Abe the installer is a genuine craftsman. Him and the other members of his crew paid attention to all the small details and were able to do a very clean install with precise cuts and flush flat/level glue down install for our cement foundation. No messes left behind. And new life has been brought to our home with the quality of their work. I have 2 more projects (kitchen and Master bedroom) that I will tackle later and I have no doubt that I will choose HW flooring for my flooring needs when it comes to it.
