We had our carpet replaced at the Trace Church in Jasper after water damage in our children’s room. They did a great job repairing the damage and installing the new floor. We love it.

After a leak from our ice maker, insurance paid to have our main floor replace (excluding the master bedroom and upstairs which was not damaged at all). Both levels of our home are wood. After bringing what was clearly damp wood flooring into house to acclimate to the temp of the home and us questioning the damp smell and feel of the wood. Sherer’s installed said flooring in main area and was supposed to finish in an antique white stain. The following photos show the separation and color of flooring. One coat of stain was applied not reaching the white that it was supposed to be and as the flooring dried out it began separating. After multiple calls, finally someone came out with a moisture meter and said at first it was the home and there was touch moisture in the house. When it was brought to their attention that no other floors in the multiple rooms except what they had installed was separating they seemed baffled. They thought they would go back and talk to someone about it???? They decided it wasn’t their fault, it was something with the house not the flooring. I was told by one of the owners he remembered my flooring and he had picked it himself and it was dry. The fact the color wasn’t correct, was never mentioned or considered. I was told they weren’t going to do anything about the floor and the two men who installed my flooring were the best. I sent multiple pictures from inside and outside on the decks, of these men sitting smoking and playing on their phones taking more then Now there are actual boards lifting because of the poor installation. After multiple calls with no return call I feel I have no other avenue but to leave this review. This company may have done a great job for others but their poor craftmanship and lack of communication have earned this honest review.

My wife and I are looking for hardwood flooring. We we’re welcomed by Tim who was both helpful and knowledgeable. Sherer’s had a good selection of flooring and the prices were competitive. We don’t know if we’re are going to buy from them yet but they are still in the mix.
