Two years ago, I left a positive review for this company (installer). At that time, we thought our flooring installation was beautiful. We had installed Floor & Decor’s (F&D) Nucore Carmel Ash LVP using all the premium underlying products as recommended by the installer. A few days after installation, we started noticing crackling noises. We reached out to our project manager, who reassured us that the floor was “solidifying” and that it was not a concern. However, the noise never went away. About eight months after our installation, we noticed buckling, unevenness, more creaking noise and warping especially in one area of the installation. We reached out to the installer and made our concerns known again. This area was fixed because we were still within our coverage period. We’re told the installation was very tight in that area. However we experienced worsening buckling, unevenness, warping, and creaking noises throughout all the installed areas. We decided to go to F&D directly and discuss this. We’re told that there’s no log of our concerns in the system. F&D told us since the installer is one of their installation made easy vendors, this is a protocol required and we should reach out to the installer. We reached out to the installer about the worsening issues and they came out for an inspection and told us it was a moisture issue, blaming it on how we were cleaning the floor. We disagreed with the report because we clean according to the flooring specifications and recommendations. They later told us it was a product issue and that we should contact the manufacturer. Plus they’ll be sending their inspection report to F & D. They never did. We reached out to the F&D who stocked the manufacturer’s products ( NuCore LVP) and went through the claims process. We’re told there was no inspection report sent by the installer. F&D conducted their inspection and, of course, reported conclusively that it was an installation issue, the inspector’s report suggested it was a product failure and that Installer did not follow right manufacturer’s guidance in installing product. F&D who commissioned the report advised us to take our case up with the installer. The installation process was marred by numerous breaches of established protocols. The installer displayed a troubling level of evasiveness, undermining trust and transparency in the process with blatant lack of accountability. Despite multiple attempts to address the issues, the installer has consistently failed to take responsibility for the substandard work. The combination of protocol breaches, evasiveness, and lack of accountability suggests a potential disregard for ethical business practices. This not only affects our investment negatively but also casts doubt on the installer’s overall integrity.

Floor Xpo went above and beyond on my home improvement project with an attention to detail and level of service that is truly rare. From start to finish, they made the entire project easy and stress-free. Christie painstakingly helped me source the right products for my project, even meeting me at the flooring store to explain the different materials to me so I could make well-informed choices. The installation team, headed up by Rafael, were equally impressive. They were perfectionists and took the time to point out details I hadn’t even considered to make sure that I would be happy with the end result. Our new floors look absolutely perfect – even better than we had hoped. And I was so impressed with Floor Xpo that I’ve already lined them up for another project! Christie and her team were so great to work with. We had another contractor come out for an estimate and seeing how Christie’s team works versus others was like night and day. We were connected with Floor Xpo through a project with Floor & Decor and I am so grateful. Chris had a focus on quality control and made sure that we had the best materials and guided us on exactly what was needed and how to help our new engineered wood floors adapt to our space. Chris was always available to answer the many questions that I had with patience and understanding. When installation began their team was efficient and paid attention to detail. I could tell her team also loved working with her and each other, and that says a LOT when there is a great relationship amongst the team. I will be using Floor Xpo for any future renovation needs!
