Highly recommend! We needed a non slip area next to our pool close to barndominium. Caton initially did what we requested with a stain, we didn’t like the look- he then suggested an anti-slip overspray that turned out AMAZING. I was thankful for his suggestion and expertise. We are so happy with it! We have had many compliments. He cleaned up everything after and was very professional. Would def use again!!!

Nice guy. I would not recommend him. His mistakes can cost you lots of tears, time, and money. Go else where.

My first contact with Caton Hawkins . Living in Dallas went to the internet to find someone to do concrete overlays on a property I had purchased in Abiline Texas. I was very ill recovering from heart surgery. I used one of the vendor finders to locate a contractor who would do concrete overlays. Caton Hawkins called and told me he could do this job I was able to drive to Abiline. When I got to the residence and met him, he told me the concrete is REALLY an epoxy overlay, durable as concrete and would suit my needs. He did a beautiful job. Meticulous to detail, prep , professional demeanor. In fact Caton Hawkins did more than I asked and I was so impressed he also did the floors with the epoxy overlay. I was still very ill. My parents were also incredibly impressed. The only problem the epoxy does not act like concrete ..The second residence of course I hired this man. Although the epoxy was not concrete I had no real issues with durability yet, but epoxy countertops are subject to staining, chipping, fading if you use any kind of cleaner other than windex. So I had to learn how to take care of the countertops which was a drawback, You cannot spill solvents on the epoxy. Nothing hot The first residence the floors urethane sheen dulled and began to peal within the year. I brought that to his attention. Always . it is no problem. I will take care of this. NEVER The second residence was a nightmare. He DID NOT prep the kitchen cabintry as he did at the first residence and epoxy spilled over the countertops unto the wood cabinets, flooring, dishwasher and it was left that way for months. I was furious paying him 1400.00 to do the kitchen. I gave him a 500.00 deposit in good faith to do the laundry room countertops. It has now been 2yrs. I had to become a fireball to get him to respond to his negligence and I could not understand the transformation from the original professional and who I was dealing with now.Prior to the second attempt Mr.Hawkins told me he would remove the kitchen sink. NEVER The kitchen countertops have been redone three times and now there is a sticky residue that surfaces and only comes off with windex to resurface again within 20 minutes. I took out the pegasus sink in the laundyroom because the same lack of prep also went to three times and the buildup was higherthan the sinks lip. It has now been over two years and the countertops inthe laundry room were redone twice with horrible dust residue. My money a total of 1900.00 has not been returned. In fact many occasions Iasked him quite brutally what is the issue.His response I don’t usually do countertops ONLY for my friends I found him online and he initiated business with me selling hisexpertise related tocountertops and nowhe is tellingme he doesn’t usually docountertops.Epoxy resin begins as a beautiful overlay, but subject to greater than normal care if in the kitchen, w scratches, pops, and stains and dulling You cannot use any kind of a cleaner on the surface.The worse part of this were the excuses ,ignoring my attempts to get him to return to the professional my parents and I had met earlier 3 years ago NO response to repair the damage.The first residence the epoxy on the breezeway outside faded, chipped and flaked off.as well as the outside concrete overlay extending beyond the garage.He also stained the concrete on the first residence in the garage which stood some time because there was not an overlay.The sealer he used on the garage on the 1st home dullled I believed in this man and was loyal to him.This was my test— to get him over and help me load a corporate fine art piece that needed to go to Dallas. I asked him to help so that I might get a response from him related to the unfinished work and damage to the second property and garage.He never said a word and it was right there in his visual line of sight. Well now it is litigation to recover my money, damages and restoration to the residence Beware He is a liar 2018Both residences have cracked, peeled in all rooms and countertops. I would suggest that if you plan to use Caton, you come by my house and look at his work. It is not what I thought it should be, but perhaps I am expecting too much.
