We had red oak hardwood floors through our home with signs of wear, water damage, and general distress. Vilas Hardwood Floors, transformed the space. They were extremely easy to work with, communicative daily as we had to leave the premises for work to be done, and completed beautiful work. We are so pleased.

Do not use these these guys. We spent nearly $20,000 refinishing our floors with them and four months later, the floors are peeling and the finish looks horrendous. The work started out great, they did a good job with sanding and repairs, but they were not careful with the stain and poly and we have had to sand and fix moldings and other areas where the product was applied sloppily. They also recommended a high end, more expensive water based polyurethane and the end result is incredibly disappointing. We highlighted issues right after the install as it looked hazy and you could literally see the lines from the foam pads they used from the multiple coats. From our research and experience you should sand between each coat of polyurethane, especially water-based formulas which require sanding between each layer applied, which they did not do. We had cameras in the house and can prove that they did not sand in between coats. Now the floors are peeling in areas, the finish is uneven and if you look at them they scratch. We are afraid to even walk on the floors. We have asked for help for months in addressing the issue and they haven’t even bothered to come look at the issue. Now we have had to try and work with the product companies directly and are in the process of hiring an inspector to come look at their work. A reputable contractor would be assisting to help resolve the issue. We now have floors that look horrendous and we have to deal with the issues ourselves. The fact that they have refused for four months to even come look at the floors proves they know they did a hack job.

I have been using Villas Hardwood Floors over 10 years! They are simply the BEST! Price-wise and Quality-wise! I am a real estate agent who specializes in rentals and distressed properties! We came across a lot of a lot of hardwood floors which were in terrible condition , some of the floors were so bad we thought we cannot save it , yet Villas always brings the floors back to its glory days! Highly recommended!

I can’t thank this company enough my floors are perfect now. I saw their ad online as I was in search of a company to refinish my hardwood floors in a short time and they came through. Within 4 days my floors are in perfect condition, it looks nothing like it did before. The price was very reasonably comparing to other quotes I received. Big shout out to the guys that came also Abel and Wilmer even help me take an old refrigerator outside ❤️. Definitely would recommend.

We are impressed and very pleased with Luis and his crew. Over the years, our 80+ year old floors had been covered with multiple layers of linoleum, tile, and carpet. After removing those layers, the pine floors were a mess — black, sticky, uneven, with chunky old adhesives that some said were impossible to remove. Luis and his team of professionals arrived on time and started working right away. There was no lollygagging, no standing around. They covered doorways with plastic to contain the dust. They vacuumed and cleaned inside and out before they left. They are obviously a well-coordinated team of professionals. In one day (of very hard work), Luis and his team brought our old wide-plank pine floors back to their original state. They look Beautiful. We’re having Luis back to work on the rest of our flooring. His prices are fair and his work is fantastic.

Wood floor installed by Vilas in brand new home. 3 months later the entire first floor has to be ripped up and installed by another company and second floor needs some repair/replacement due to poor craftsmanship (boards loose, significant separation, wood filler galore, unprofessional and unacceptable face nailing done to correct issues). Left with nail holes throughout finished floor. We have to remove cabinets and move out of house to replace floor. Well over $10,000 to fix plus the time and aggravation of having to move out of brand new home. 0 stars. Humidity has nothing to do with using wood filler, not squaring off boards, sanding divots, and face nailing throughout floor.
