The team at S & S Floor Surfacing did an excellent job from start to finish. I received several bids for the job (installing new hardwood floors throughout my home) but was most impressed by Jim during his initial estimate meeting. He was very knowledgeable and provided great insight. The bid received was right in line with all others. The installation went great. They took their time to ensure a quality job and were very communicative during the process. The final product turned out better than I even expected. I will definitely use S & S again for future flooring needs.

We had our floors refinished, new stain color and a few bad boards replaced…Very happy with the whole process and Love how the floors turned out. The pricing/bid had several options, so we could choose what fit our budget plus they provided solid advice on the oil vs water base refinish (went Oil because we have 2 big dogs and a lot of foot traffic…we want the floors to last). Linda was great to work with on scheduling, contract and payment. She was quick to respond and help me through the process. Paul (who did the work on the floors) immediately noticed a slow leak in our fridge water hose and took needed steps to ensure it didn’t hurt the floors (Thank you!), plus his guidance on stains, care instructions during the cure process with our dogs, ensuring he knew where the electrical panel (incase the power tripped) and how to turn on the furnace …this wasn’t his first rodeo! We left feeling very confident that our floors/house would be taken care of. We did opt for the dust containment & clean up. They did an amazing job. I thought the house be extremely dusty & dirty, but we came home to a completely clean home. Highly recommend!

I have used S & S Floor Surfacing 4 times over the last 15 years as a property manager and homeowner. I keep returning because the company is well organized and they utilize experienced craftsman. If you’re getting new wood floors, refinishing and/or repairing older wood floors, you’ll be hard pressed to find a better company to meet your needs.

My parents used S&S over a decade ago for their floor refinish so my partner and I contacted them right away for our floor refinish in our new home. From start to finish, the S&S team was awesome. From Linda arranging everything, to Mike helping us choose our finishes, to the other Mike that actually did all of the work – we loved interacting with everyone. They talked us through every step of the process and gave us good advice. Our floors are beautiful!
