My initial experience with the team at Vicky’s was enjoyable. They were friendly, efficient, and fairly priced. I needed flooring for my entire house, so this was not a small job ($$$). I’ve never purchased new flooring, so I’m a rookie when it comes to expectations. The first red flag was early in the process with respect to “moving” my furniture. I paid for them to do it, and, in preparation, I cleared space in my garage and my shop expecting the furniture to be moved out of the work area. To my surprise, the furniture was simply moved out of the way leading to a substantial amount of dust in every crack and crevice in every piece of furniture. Maybe this is a normal practice, but I want to let all you other rookies out there know how this works at Vicky’s. Red flag number two happened soon afterwards. The install team presented themselves as motivated and willing to work long hours to get the job done as quickly as possible. They even asked if they could start before 7am and work after five. The reality was more along the lines of starting at 10:30, lunch @ 12, and heading home around 5. The job was supposed to take 5 days, and it partially concluded nine days later. I went to the store and paid my balance and then took off work for three days to help my wife get the house back in order (previously mentioned dust). While cleaning, I noticed a small triangular piece they missed by our hearth. I sent a pic to an associate (@ Vicky’s). It was answered immediately, and I was assured the installer would come back to fix it. Three days later, no answer, and I had also found all the thresholds were damage by their nailgun resulting in sharp edges and one protruding nailhead (ouch!) which I then mentioned. ONE MONTH LATER, nothing, so I reached out again by phone. It just so happened, they were looking into how to resolve my threshold issues exactly at that moment! ONE MONTH LATER (yes, this is now over two months since I paid them and found the first issue), I reached out again for an update. By this time, we had started painting our baseboards and quarter round and found there were nine pieces nailed incorrectly or not nailed at all. Now, it is five days later, and no one has come to fix my multiple issues. Today, I swallowed my pride, and fixed the quarter round to help ease my frustration. I’m done with these folks. There are more details, but I hope this is enough to convince you to not do business with Vicky’s.
