Beware of Unreasonable Pricing Tactics: My Experience with Franklin Fence and Deck. I typically don’t leave reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my recent encounter with Franklin Fence and Deck. I reached out to them for a quote on aluminum fencing, and initially, the experience seemed promising. The salesman responded promptly and provided a quick quote based on the basic information I provided. However, things took a frustrating turn when I requested a modification to the fence design to include circles between the top levels, as approved by my HOA. Upon mentioning this modification, the salesman informed me that he would need to check with their supplier, which seemed reasonable enough. However, when he got back to me, he dropped a bombshell: adding the circles would more than double the cost. I was taken aback by this sudden and significant increase. What struck me was that he didn’t even give me the option to consider proceeding with the modified design at the increased cost; instead, he seemed eager to steer me away from it altogether. What further raised my eyebrows was his explanation that the circles were “handmade.” As someone with experience in construction, I couldn’t help but find this claim laughable. Aluminum fencing doesn’t typically involve handmade components, and when I questioned him, he confirmed they were indeed aluminum circles. It simply didn’t add up. Disheartened by the lack of transparency and flexibility, I decided not to move forward with either option presented to me. Curious, I sought another quote from a local company. To my surprise, the price increase for adding circles was a much more reasonable 28%, not the astronomical 112% claimed by Franklin Fence and Deck. This experience left me questioning the integrity of Franklin Fence and Deck’s pricing tactics. It felt like a tactic to dissuade customers from pursuing modifications by inflating costs beyond reason. What’s more concerning is that my experience didn’t align with the positive reviews I had seen on platforms like Google, Yelp, or Angi. I share this review to urge others to be cautious and to thoroughly compare quotes before making a decision. Don’t be swayed by inflated prices disguised as necessary costs. Make your own discernment based on my experience and proceed with caution when dealing with Franklin Fence and Deck.

We had a small job that needed to be done, but they got back with me quickly and came by to view the work needed. After I approved the estimate, the work was completed quickly and to our complete satisfaction. I will use Franklin Fence and Deck again for our next project.

We’ve contacted the owner multiple times concerning our fence at four years was already dry rotted. Quality of the wood is poor as well compared to my neighbors fence that was put in from another company, it is thinner and a cheaper grade of wood. You can literally take the wood and just break it off at the top. We have boards that are warped as well. Just very poor construction and quality. We will have to just tear it all down and do it again, just a complete waste of $2500. Save yourself the headache and do not use them. The owner did have someone come out to look, but we never heard back from him. Of course the guy shows up right when I had an appointment I had to rush to, so i wasn’t able to point things out.

If you need a new fence, hire Franklin Fence & Deck. They just replaced a fence with 2 gates for me and the results are fantastic! The work was fast and I couldn’t be happier.

FF&D has been our “go to” for fencing needs over the last 20 years. Mike, the owner, is professional, knowledgeable and very fair. We wouldn’t use any other company for our fencing needs.
