Silver State did a great job on a new fence install at my residence. I was happy with the bid and the installation was completed in a couple days once they started. I had to book pretty far out (3 months) but that’s how it is going with most contractor work these days. No complaints and very happy with my new fence.

[Please see Yelp for more critical reviews from a variety of recent Silver State customers.] We paid $14,000 for a fence + multi-gate project with Silver State several years ago. The main gate to our property, which they installed, was mis-measured and welded terribly, and for months would not properly open OR close. They finally – after countless phone calls and emails on my part – came back and “repaired” it, but it was still so poorly constructed that it’s now permanently closed, unusable and barely rigged up with wire, as the welding has sheared off entirely. This is a nightmare in winter, as the gate is extremely heavy and must be open in snowy weather so cars can pass through. Worst of all, it leaves us without a safely fenced yard for our kids, and is itself a safety hazard. I have called Silver State countless times. I have emailed. I have met with nice people who assured me they’d run this up the flagpole, only to never get back to me again. I have tried and tried and tried, as has my husband. We are at our wits end here, and can honestly say this is the most unprofessional, negligent job we’ve ever hired out as homeowners. It has also involved a HUGE amount of recapping and reviewing a contract/design plan that was probably never even feasible to begin with. (As in digging up archived emails to have yet another conversation with yet another Silver State person who will disappear yet again.) It. Has. Been. Terrible. Now when people come over and say, “Wow, ugh, what’s wrong with your gate?” I tell them all about Silver State and ask them to tell their friends. Now I’m telling you. Gross as it feels to leave a bad review for a local family business, this is truly next-level and something we tried to remedy many, many times. We also screwed up royally by paying these guys in the first place and not filing a complaint with the state board. PS: I loved their stain guy. He has absolutely nothing to do with this.

Fence was installed over a year ago. After some confusion about the style fence we wanted they fixed the initial build and we got what we wanted in the end. Had a couple warranty calls after about the gates that shifted and wpuldnt close but they fixed it quickly. Service has always been great.

The did everything we asked and more. Fence looks great. Get them early in the season because the get swamped in the summer.

I obtained a proposal from this company, however the details of the work to be performed were uncomplete and did not reflect what I asked the estimator. I called this company twice, asking to please rewrite the proposal with the correct description of the gate size, etc. and they did not get back to me.

The office lady is truly a professional and as helpful as she could be. But at some point she ran out of excuses of why after 6 months, a dozen phone calls and 2 visits from an estimator, they can’t seem to give me an estimate! Extremely frustrating.
