I’m a general contractor in Oklahoma City and we hire a lot of subcontractors to help our clients. Here in Eureka Springs it is almost impossible to find good help. I’m not one to do reviews but they earned this review! Absolutely a top notch company. Sheldon and Zac were very polite, skillful, & respectful throughout the installation of our gate opener. Couldn’t be happier. Also the follow-up with Ron the owner was exceptional. Love this company. Well done gentlemen. Hire them you won’t be disappointed!

Some seem to be good folk but dont have much understanding and compassion for employees its like being back in high school working with them i watched employees make fun of coworker with a mental disability i just was disgusted by the behavior of the people leading in this business high very high turn over rate they have people with knowledgeable fencing skills and do good work but its just not a place i would recommend to anyone to work or use for there services just on the way they acted and things they did to people to show there life and lively hood was In there hands and if you need help they would even listen man starving and homeless comes and trying to do good and is treated like a dog for what cause they think their better than you i never leave negative reviews but very rarely and this place is probably the worst people ive ever worked for but thats just my opinion and im sure i will get some bad feed back but i dont care i wish They would come say something

Modern Fence is always quick to respond with service calls and solutions to keep my gate operational. They are creative with solutions and go above and beyond to ensure cost effective repairs.

We needed a new fence and contacted our neighbors on all sides to see about sharing the cost. In total we ended up with 5 houses replacing part or all of their fencing. After looking at reviews, we chose Modern and the other households agreed. They told us it would take 3 days, after 7 months it still wasn’t done. We finally just paid the bill to be done with it and fix the rest ourselves because they kept hounding us about the bill despite not being finished. It was a nightmare. A few of the issues: they moved the fence from the original location in multiple places including at one point moving the property line by over a foot. They eventually had to tear out the entire backside fence and build it again. We asked for the same gates we had previously. They built completely different gates. We asked them to fix them so they rebuilt them. Also completely wrong. They came and rebuilt them a third time but one gate and its adjoining fence were different heights and the gate isn’t vertical. One set of neighbors finally built their own gates (and still paid in full) because Modern never showed up to do it. The fence on one side of our yard has warped boards and the tops of the pickets are jagged and uneven. They left the previous posts in the ground and cut them just above ground level. We couldn’t even open one gate all the way because of a previous post. I had to cut them. They also moved our gates about 2 ft forward from where they were previously. No idea why. I am not a complainer in general and I understand no job is going to be perfect, but this wasn’t even close. We would call to let them know about issues and they’d send someone out, they’d take notes on the issues, send out a crew, and they’d take care of one or two issues and just leave the others – and then tell us we needed to pay the balance. So we’d have to call again and repeat the process. I have no idea how many times they sent a crew out to do something only for them to do part of the list and then leave. We feel like complete jerks to our neighbors because we were the ones that chose the company and every neighbor had similar issues that they had to deal with. I would not recommend them and do not plan to do business with them in the future. All photos are from today – issues they never fixed (uneven pickets, post I dug and cut so the gate could open, unlevel gate, warped boards).

Modern Fence has taken great care of us for the last 15 years for all our fence, gate & gate opener needs! Chris Glenn has provided excellent service & support installing & maintaining everything for us all 15 years! Kimber McCutcheon and Chris Glenn provide a personal connection beyond just customer service that makes us feel valued & supported..

We had an automatic gate installed at the end of our driveway. Ron discussed all of our possibilities and worked up estimates for all of our options. Once Lance and his crew began the work, they proceeded quickly and were able to adapt to a couple of curveballs nature threw at them. Everybody we dealt with was very professional and friendly. They all did great work and the fence looks amazing and works extremely well. We are already going back to Modern for more fence work.

Give them time to get you on the schedule, they are very busy and I think you will be pleased. In one call they took care of all of our issues with our automatic gates.
