7/9/24 Philadelphia Gas and Electric HVAC Services has once again surpassed my expectations with their response time and performance. The first time was a failing Boiler. This time a failing AC. There are four infants living in this home and I was very concerned about their health in this heat. It was obvious Lucas the tech is extraordinarily experienced, skillful, thorough. He assessed the system and issues, explained the process and had the system running efficiently, offered basic recommendations to improve the system’s performance that anyone can understand and implement. Great Job Lucas Thank you. My recommendation: Don’t waste your time, Call Philadelphia Electric and Gas FIRST!! Their work ethic and philosophy of service is incomparable! This is the only HVAC company I will use in our properties!

Waiting to see still, will update the stars depending on the rest of the summer, especially these next few hot days coming. I wanted them to come out and do some basic repairs/updating. Wound up being convinced it was my AC as a whole that needed to be replaced. This was due to the age of the unit in general as well as using outdated refrigerant. Plus the previous home owner really liked to do things that violated codes. 9k later my second floor is still not really getting colder, at least as cold as I would expect from the better/newer system, and fixing the leaking area in the basement. Yes it works. Yes my air is cleaner thanks to the filter. But all in all I feel I spent a significant amount of money for insignificant results. My first floor is quite cold, which it already was moderately before the upgrade. Now I have a really cold first floor while I’m sweating at night. So yeah it works, but so did my old unit, albeit it didn’t feel as fresh in the house. The work itself was done very well and only took the better part of a day which was quick given all the duct work repairs. The duct work was cleanly placed and thoroughly setup. The connections are clean and the system is completed now with an air filter cabinet. A discount was given for the amount of work being done, so that’s super cool too. The individuals working there are knowledgeable and will talk through the problems, including pointing them out, and possible solutions. The folks were super nice and responsive and helped me get everything addressed quickly. Now that it’s all said and done though, I am not sure if it was worth the money. Hoping it’s just buyers remorse from spending a lot of money, but it will genuinely depend how well it works on the second floor. Side note that bothered me personally: their website also claims to offer 0% financing which is not true anymore, personally don’t love that they didn’t remove that. It’s a big deceiving and their 0% financing was one of the reasons I picked them.

Superior service from start to finish! My AC unit is 16 years old and so I appreciated how thorough Mike was with his analysis of my system. Instead of condemning my unit for being older, he made logical or valid recommendations that could help extend the life of my current unit. He explained the maintenance process and recommendations in a way that was easy for me as the homeowner to understand. I especially appreciated how he took time to notice and bring things to my attention that other HVAC competitors have missed. Mike cared enough to not only notice those things but to fix them. I would highly recommend Philadelphia Gas & Electric to anyone who is looking for a company that is honest, thorough and who employs workers that will care for your home as if it was their home.
