I recently had Alpha come to my house to fix my heating and cooling system. Not even a week later I couldn’t use my thermostat on the wall so I called alpha and they said for me to turn it on and off manually on the system it self. I was told they would come back out here and fix it at no charge because it was still under their warranty for it not working no longer than a week later. I kept calling and asking for updates and they stated they were waiting for a part to arrive in the mail. Well a few months go by. I haven’t heard anything nor has anyone come out to my house. My heating and cooling system now doesn’t blow heat nor cold air. It just acts as a fan. I would not recommend this place and if I could give 0 out 5 stars I would.

I had given a 5 star review, but all they had done was diagnose my problem. They were going to prepare and email a quote to fix the problem with a few different options, as well as a quote to upgrade to Central Air. After 3 weeks of no quote and only sales emails, I called and was assured they had them and would email. That was over a month ago. Apparently they only wanted to diagnose my problem, my heat still isn’t working properly, and now I get to pay someone else for the same thing in order to have it fixed.

I had Alpha do my used furnace/heat pump installation. The salesman was motivated to get this done for me whereis other guys didn’t want to at all. They scheduled the installer to come just a couple days later. All Alpha employees involved were fairly polite. Overall they did OK for me, I’m somewhat happy having my good working central air, but I was left with some desire. Considering the high cost, I was not super impressed with the installation – There was a large amount of foam in the vent(refrigerant lines were put thru there for lack of any other feasible route), however he did come remove most of it, but didn’t seem interested in removing it all for maximum airflow. I expressed concern about the position of the furnace with one side was poking out about 1/4″ – 1/2″ more than the other side in the front(due to the imperfect dimensions of the furnace closet) but the installer went ahead with the project and screwed everything in place as is. The amount of wall cut out was slightly too much. I’ll have to figure this all out myself unfortunately. The company thus far hasn’t gotten back to me to make sure I was happy with the project other than request this review via text. The 4 stars represents the high cost vs the mediocre quality of the install, and no trim involved, besides a piece that covers only the top of the furnace closet opening. That about sums up my experience with Alpha Heating and Air.

Everything was done quickly and effetely. Unit worked beautifully as it was replacing an old heat pump system. The installers were very nice guys and cleaned up all the old equipment completely!! I totally recommend Alpha Heating & Air-Roseburg or in any City they are located!!!
