We lived in the house through a fairly significant remodel and they were always respectful, helped us through the process, and were willing to fix the bumps experienced along the way. We are very pleased with the upgrade!

Shaw Nee Builders Inc 4 years agoShaw-Nee recently completed a full renovation (replacement of all major utilities & knocking down walls) of our office building. Sean & his team worked closely with us to ensure that we were clear on the scope of the project. Shaw-Nee was professional and personal, providing us with cost-effective solutions. They kept the cleanest construction zone I have ever seen. Shaw-Nee runs their business top notch. Absolutely love the final product. Highly recommend.

Savage Surfaces 2 months agoPhil and his guys did a great job on my son‘s residential basement floor. Had two other contractors over for estimates – one wouldn’t touch it, and the other was way too expensive. Phil gave us a beautiful floor in one day at a more than reasonable price. Pride in workmanship, and knows his stuff. Thanks again so much for your service!

north star builders llc 7 months agoNorth Star Builders, owner Jason Scott, employees Scott Doane, Allen Pawl and their intern Bryan Horn are despicable, unprofessional, untrustworthy, dishonest, immature, arrogant and unbelievably disrespectful. They desparaged us to vendors and subcontractors. Their subcontractors produced failing work that was not to code and would not pass inspection. They have zero time management skills and cannot produce a schedule or deadline. They have zero accountability for their subcontractors. Working with this group of individuals was the biggest nightmare of our lives. They wasted our energy, our time and hundreds of thousands of dollars. Jason will say that he “canceled the contract for convenience” however, in our opinion he coincidentally quit the job 2 weeks after the City of Lakewood came to inspect the property and informed them that in its condition it would not pass the pre-wall inspection. North Star withheld this information from us and quit. The jobsite was a constant pigsty, they did not schedule anyone to regularly work and after 9 months of physical construction not one single aspect of the structure had been completed. All the floors were sagging, the roof was sagging and all the windows leaked. They called us names, made fun of us, purposely ignored our concerns and insisted “karma” would get us. We can not stress enough what a tragic mistake it was working with this company and these people. Jason Scott should absolutely not be trusted under any circumstance. Jason is NOT a builder, he’s a slimy salesman.
