Until today I was a huge fan of Sila. They installed my forced air system a few years back and have provided service since. No problems at all. The techs were always prompt, courteous and skilled. But then, earlier this summer I asked to add three registers to my system. At first someone at the company told me that they did not do this work in summer. I called back a few days later to ask for advice on where I could buy the soft venting they used on the original install, thinking maybe I could rough it in myself then have Sila hook it up to the system in September. The person who I talked to told me that they DO, in fact, do such work in the summer. Great, I said, lets schedule an estimate. A tech came out and gave me a proposal. Cool, let’s schedule the work. They dragged their feet for about a week saying they would have the parts in a few days and that they could schedule something as soon as they were in. Then today, when I called asking for an update, the person I spoke with told me that they do NOT do such work in summer and that no one told me that they do – in other words, that I was lying. What!? Who lies about stuff like that? So they wasted my time and insulted me. And I’m not sure why. I’m just a repeat customer trying to give them more business. Now my project is stalled and I am no longer comfortable using Sila.
