I definitely would not recommend this company . I had thought about taking them to small claims court. Our experience with this company was beyond bad. They came to my house 5 times. I had to call after each visit to beg them to come out again because my ac still wasn’t working. They not only did not fix it but rigged it. Overcharged the system and was burning up my compressor. Told me to go elsewhere when i called again calling them out on wanting to charge me again for part number 5 to be installed. I found a new company that knows how to fix air conditioners. Difference was unbelievable. First visit too!!! Don’t use this company!!!

The company overcharged for a service and totally misrepresented themselves. We had them out because the heat pump stopped working, they added Freon, charged us $500 and the unit only continued to work for about 5 days. So called them, told us they would add more Freon but not charge. Then when they got here, suddenly developed amnesia. First of all they lie and then they should have checked for a leak before adding 5lbs of Freon. LIARS AND CROOKS! Don’t use them. They are not registered with better business bureau either.

I Do Not Recommend This Company. I only clicked on one Star because you had to chose something. Tri-Star was scheduled on a Thurs. it was raining so I Called to reschedule. We talked about possibly coming on the following day. I asked if someone would call me to let me know. The lady I was talking to said she would be the one to call me back.Waited all day for a phone call.. (Because I have nothing better to do on a rainy day) No call from Tri-Star. On Fri. morning 8am I called….no answer. So I left a message. No call back on Fri. mid afternoon. This appt. was set over 2 weeks ago. What a waste of my time!!!

Mike and Wes from Tri-Star arrived right on time. They had a repair estimate for me within a few minutes with a very fair price. Much less than another local company I considered using. They completed the repair quickly and got us up and running. They were genuine and honest guys. The kind you want to call for all of your HVAC needs. Highly recommended.

Very very fair pricing!! After 4 other quotes, hands down they were the best price. I’m very confident in their pricing, experience and service. Dave and Amy were excellent to work with. They are trustworthy and their customer service tops the charts. I would absolutely recommend tri star to my friends!

I called Tri Star at 7:30am to request a service call for my AC unit and they were able to have two technicians come out within an hour. Mike and Wes were wonderful! They were able to diagnose and fix the issue in less than an hour and get the unit up and running again. I’m impressed with Tri Stars professionalism, knowledge and affordability and will absolutely use them if future and highly recommend them to anyone in need of quality affordable hvac servive.

These guys are GREAT! They came out in the morning of the day we called. Very experienced and professional – spotted the exact problem, went and got the right part and WOW! the furnace was up and running again. All for a surprisingly reasonable cost!! I recommend them to anyone, and will use them again if I need to. Thanks TriStar Heating & Cooling!

I have been using Tri Star (Dave Chapman) for my home and business for at least twenty years now, and I can’t say enough about the wonderful service I have received. Any time he has done work at my business, he always accurately diagnoses the problem and makes the repairs without disrupting business. He is always sure to maintain a clean working area, too. When he recently had to replace duct work, he made sure that the area he was working and was cleaned up before moving on to the next area. Tri Star has helped avoid very serious problems with furnaces at my residence and at my rental properties by observing and asking questions about all the equipment they see even when they were there for other reasons. They also took the time so show me how to keep my equipment lasting longer. Things such as oiling the motor on my boiler system once a month. I applaud Tri State Heating & Cooling for doing an excellent job in both residential and commercial settings. I highly recommend that you call Tri State for your heating and cooling needs.

I live in Union, KY and needed a complete new HVAC system. I called Tri Star because they are a locally owned HVAC Contractor in Northern KY and they were incredible. No pressure and great service. Both of the repairmen/techs that came to my house were very friendly. They had my heat back on in no time and will be finishing the air conditioner soon. I would recommend them to ANYONE in NKY. They also explained the money I would be saving because of the new system and I cannot wait to see the bills!! I’ll definitely be reporting back 🙂 4/14/2014 – I’M BACK – My bills have been lowered by more than 30%!!!! My bill for March 2014 (we had some VERY cold days) was only $140!!! I also received a letter from Duke Energy telling me that I qualified as one of their top energy efficient users. It showed me what level I was at and where I am at now. I did not expect this but it just proves how awesome my new system is. I cannot thank Tri Star Heating and Cooling enough! 1/13/2016 – I just had to say – AGAIN – that every time they come for regular service they are quick and easy to work with. I continue to remain among the most efficient houses in my neighborhood and I love being able to change my home temp from my iPhone!!! Thank you Tri-Star!!!

We were having problems with our furnace not responding at all to the thermostat and not coming on at all after an electrical problem at our house. I explained this to the receptionist and someone came out the following day. When the technician was working he did not say a word to my fiance who was home during the service call. The technician called me at work and used words such as “the transformer is busted” and the “computer board needs to be replaced” due to our elctrical problem frying the parts. He then quoted me a ridiculous amount of $488 for parts alone and with labor they could do the work for $550-$600. When I told the receptionist I was going to buy the parts and replace them on my own she told me I needed an HVAC license just to purchase the parts. I bought the transformer for $20 from Sears parts and installed it in 5 minutes. The furnace started right up and there was nothing wrong with the control board. From all of this I learned that they just want to take advantage and charge you an outrageous amount for work that doesn’t even need to be done. I will not recommend this company.
