Tried to charge me over $6,000 to replace a furnace. Told the guy others do it cheaper. They said they upcharge “for their customer service.” No one cares, we just want proper replacements as cheap as possible. Use Young or Bergen for these jobs, they are cheaper with the same customer service, saved me $3,000.

We noticed that we were losing heat around 9:00 PM. We contacted Gubbels, who had installed our HVAC system and by 9:30, David, our tech was at our door. Our fix was due to our lack of staying up with our maintenance plan! A New filter and a cleaned sensor and it was done. David did our annual maintenance while he was here. Very kind and professional! Thank you David and Gubbels!!

I lost heat during the night in the middle of winter. Called gubbels heating and they came over to look at my system. Turns out I need a new blower motor. They tell me it’s gunna be close to 900 to fix. I ask for 3 month payment plan because it’s Xmas holidays this month. They said they can’t because no service history on furnace. Glued all over my furnace is 13 years of service history on the furnace from them. The whole reason I called them back in the first place. After getting angry about hearing no payment plan is offered, I then hand them 985 in cash in my frustration. 900 for blower motor and 85 for service call. They then refused to service because I got upset about no payment plans. I own my home without a bank. I have the deed. I showed him the deed. I offered my social security number so they can run a hard inquiry and can find I have an 803 credit score. Still no payment plan of 3 months. So I hand him cash. 900 in cash, 85 debit card for service. He then walks upstairs and hands me 900 in cash and my debit card for the 85 service charge. He then tells me that they refused service. No service charge and no service. My furnace no longer has gubbels one hour heating and service logos glued all over it now with the 13 years history. Update: I see your replay, just wanted you to know that I did have another company come out and fix my heat. They fixed it for 189 and my blower motor was fine. I have heat for only the price of service and a compacitor. What you claim was hostel was 1 swear word and then me going upstairs to get the money to pay in full. But now I know you will charge people the most expensive part and a new compacitor, knowing it was the much cheaper part the whole time. Do not recommend this company. They even Gave me free air filters. Bergan plumbing, heating and cooling is now stickered all over my furnace Thank you for refused service! I found a better and honest company.

Very positive experience with our first interaction with Gubbels. Service rep Ben was very knowledgable, professional and courteous. However, after we received an estimate from them on a second furnace project but went with a different company, they did not want to give us an estimate for our third project. She said it would be better for our business to stick with a single heating & air company, and not theirs. They wouldn’t give us an estimate. It seemed that we were “fired” for not accepted a previous bid from them. We’ve never experienced a company expecting strict loyalty from a customer.

Awesome customer service, Seth is the best. Installed a new furnace, worked with me in financing it. All around great group of guys.
