Technician, Jay Gettings, have been at our residence several times for our annual checkup. He has been always professional and a wealth of information anytime I had a question or a concern. Jay was prompt, on time and explained my options if I needed my air conditioner/furnace serviced or replaced. Jay’s knowledge of trouble shooting is a great asset to the company. He’s a keeper! I highly recommend Perfect Temp as my go to if I need any service on my units.

I genuinely wish that I couldve gotten the 5 star service so many reviews for this company have garnered recently but unfortunately I did not get that experience. I had called Perfect Temp to come fix a condensate drain issue I had with my HVAC units, and the scheduler had told me it was $120 to come out and diagnose and then we would be quoted further. No problem; I had Cody come out and meet with my wife as I was at work, and the first thing he did walking though the door was hand my wife a pamphlet titled “Static Pressure – Why does it matter?”, before even looking at my HVAC. This makes it pretty obvious that he was out to sell us something. He then proceeds to go down to our units and then drops the bombshell that diagnostics are $120 PER UNIT, so before he’s even looked at anything, I’m at $240. Alright. Then he spends about 2 hours diagnosing the system for high static pressure, including drilling holes in our unit for measurement of this pressure without adequately explaining what it was for beforehand. He comes back and explains that our system has high static pressure, and blah blah blah…our units cool our home just fine and that was never an issue nor what we asked him to investigate. I actually had to interrupt him on the phone while explaining this all to me to ask him about the drainage issue, and only then did he say ‘Well the bandaid fix is to blow out the lines with nitrogen’. What? We were quoted three levels of repair, topping out at $2500 dollars(!) which included a UV lamp install, a VIP savings club membership, adjusting the blower speed(?) removal and cleaning the blower, cleaning the coils, and clearing the lines with nitrogen. The lowest “Bandaid” fix is to do what I asked to do, which is clear our lines, for $500 dollars. When challenged on the cost, he immediately said “What if I do it for $100 each?”. Right. Anyway, I declined service and paid the $240 find-things-to-sell-me fee. The next day I had another hvac company come out, show me that it was just sediment blocking the lines, and that the coils were clean enough to not cause issues. I chatted with the tech as I observed him take the condensate line apart to show all the gunk, and he proceeded to clean the lines out with a pipe cleaner and replace the line with new line that’d be less likely to clog. $140 dollars and 30 minutes later and that much wiser. Perhaps I’d have had a better experience if I was out to replace my units with something that’d earn these fellows some margin or commission, but at this point I would advise against having them come out for basic service. Two stars if only for the courtesy of the tech.

I originally gave this company five stars. They are a very friendly, slick operation. However, they are price gougers. They quoted me $750 for a replacement fan motor on an AC system that is almost 20 years old – and that was just for the part – labor was about $500 more. I looked the fan up, and lo and behold, you can buy the fan retail for $250. Turns out it only takes about 40 minutes for an amateur like myself to replace the motor. So they wanted $1200 for replacing the fan motor. $1200 for a part they likely paid about $100 for, and their tech might spend 30 minutes replacing. Perfect Temp also told me I needed to replace the unit capacitor, and charged me $245.45 for the capacitor. The company I bought the fan from sent me a capacitor – free of charge – with the motor. Turns out you can buy the capacitor on Amazon for around $18, and it takes about 10 minutes to replace. If you can change a car battery, you can change a capacitor. So $245 for a $20 part and 10 minutes of work? Price gouge, much? The technician they sent out was super friendly and knowledgeable, but he literally spent more time doing paperwork and pitching me on their “service club membership” than he did working on my stuff. Seems a more honest business model would be to charge a fair price for parts and labor, and to not try to make things look expensive and difficult when the job is actually cheap and easy. I cannot recommend doing business with Perfect Temp.

All the workers and secretary and owner all nice and friendly to work with. They put in a new furnace and air conditioning unit for me. They did an excellent job. I would recommend this company. Thanks, Diana

Excelant service, came out the same day I caled and fixed my air. Also, took a look at the air flow and made suggestions for a later date, in order to have my current unit to work better. I will be calling them again when I can fit into my budget.

It was a great experience. Cody informed me of all possibilities from the visit and gave truthfulness of the diagnosis. He also did not force you on any decision and was very knowledgeable of his craft. I signed up for the vip and will always make perfect temp my first call for service.

If you need good service then call perfect temp heating and cooling! They do not try and upsell you on anything. Cody was great and did a thorough check of the AC unit and furnace. I couldn’t have asked for better service. Thank you again!
