We had a great experience with Electric Air! We were one of their first customers, and responded to a mailing they had sent out. When I talked to Shreyas and Jeremy, I could tell that they had a lot of technical knowledge and were really passionate about heat pumps. They helped us think through the different options for our home and select a system that was a good value. The actual installation was fun to be a part of. I helped the team by running my own electrical to the equipment (I don’t think this is common), so I got to see a lot of the work firsthand. David, Raul and Miguel were hard workers and got the project wrapped up efficiently. There were a few things that came up during the final inspection, like ductwork that wasn’t strapped up. Some of this was related to existing conditions in the house before their team came through, but they were quick in sending a team to address all the issues and get us sorted. We always recommend Electric Air to friends looking for heat pumps, and in fact our next door neighbor just got a system from them as well. Most importantly our pup Max pictured below is beyond happy to now have AC!

Extremely professional and I love how responsive and proactive the founders are. They even got on a video call with us and walked us through how heat pumps works. They were never pushy and always gave us enough information for us to make a decision. We just finished the installation and the technical team was extremely respectful of your space. The team is going to help us with some of the clean tax refunds as next steps and grateful to have their expertise for the next steps.

I was really excited to get a heat pump after a lot of research. Helios (They have recently rebranded as Electric Air) installed a heat pump for my daughter and was very impressed with the team so selected them for my home – they gave a nice referral discount. They selected a MRCOOL Universal which has been working well. It’s an inverter driven system which I’m thrilled about. The indoor is fixed speed though, so not as smart as some products out there but still an amazing improvement over my old AC. Thanks to David and Rahul for super professional and fast install on a weekend at my request. The company is owned and operated by 3 professional people Jeremy, Chris and Shreyas and all 3 of them will answer all your questions with clarity and this was an added advantage when compare to other HVAC companies ( I tried two other companies but only the sales person answered my questions in a roundabout way and was only eager to get my order) Even now, after 3 months of installation they call me and check with me how the system is working. So for we are only heating part of the heat pump and yet to test the AC part of the Heat pump. During the peak cold weather the outside temperature was 33 and my night temperature setting was 67. In the morning it took 4 to 5 hours of continuous running to reach the 71. The lesson is if the temperature is cold outside keep the inside temperature constant without changing too much between the day and night setting. I will update my review again in about 5 months after passing the peak summer temperature. Base on my wonderful experience with Helios/Electric Air I am recommending them to my friends also

Highly recommend. We were very impressed with Helios from start to finish. Helios selected and installed a great heat pump. Our home is an old SF victorian – in other words probably the most challenging install possible, with many tricky constraints. Despite that the team worked hard and found a solution that matched our needs, with great communication about the options throughout. Installation was efficient and smooth. Johntae and Chad were the installers, they worked hard and creatively to make sure everything worked well and looked good. We’re happy to now be all electric in our heating/cooling, and about a month in everything is working well. I cannot wait to now have cooling in our home in Sept/Oct when it gets hot in San Francisco. No more sleepless nights and fussy kids and grumpy me. Thanks, Helios!

We had an excellent heat pump installation experience with Helios. We wanted to add AC and get rid of gas furnace to slash a big chunk of our carbon emissions (our electricity is already 100% renewable), so heat pump was an obvious choice. Out of the few contractors we contacted, Helios was the best: – The quoting process was easy and quick. Rather than having to book a visit weeks ahead, Helios provided a quote online and booked an after visit to confirm the virtual proposal. – Helios was able to provide a great price by designing the system to utilize air handler from the existing furnace to significantly reduce the cost. They also really understood the incentives and took the extra effort to help us maximize all available incentives. – Their technical expertise was superb, and instead of confusing us with jargons, Shreyas, one of the Helios co-founders, explained the system design really clearly, answered all our questions, and helped us compare other quotes to make sure the system is right for us. – The installation technicians were efficient and detail-oriented. During the job, they found out the refrigerant line pre-wired by the home builder had a leak behind the drywall, and took an extra half-day of hard work to locate and fix it.
