J. Edward Renovations LLC 10 months agoI hired J Edward Renovations to fix a leak from my roof. They came, and attempted to repair it. When it started to leak again, I contacted them and they said they would come right out to take a look. It’s been 4 months and they have not responded to any of my calls, texts, voicemails or emails.

Grayson Contractors LLC a year agoWe hired this company to upgrade our bathroom. They are modestly priced small business. Below is a list of items I believe should be considered when hiring them on your project. Here are the things they excel at: – Design. Great at talking through what is possible from a conceptual standpoint. They brought in the Electrician and Plumber to finalize quotes. – Communication. They were responsive when called about questions etc. Things that they are not so great at: – Organizational skills. The whole delivery of the project was sloppy. Most things that you would think would be discussed early on in the project basically happened during that specific day they were doing the work. – Construction skill set. From a contractual perspective everything was completed. The details are just not there. See examples. 1) Drywall texture is inconsistent and sloppy. Some areas have lots of texture and some areas have little. Some areas you can still see the drywall tape. Looks like a DYI job rather than professional drywall. All ceiling corners are very poorly blended; some areas you can see the 6 inch troll marks. We will have this redone by a drywall professional. 2) They installed the door such that when opened, it scraped the floor. The door was not mounted plum/ square. 3) When the painted the floor trim, they ended up getting paint on the floor. 4) The grouting between the tile in the bathtub is all cracking. They also ended up using a colored caulking around edges that cracking and peeling. This is only after a few months. 5) Site cleanliness was poor. They would leave tools all over in my garage as well as a dirty mess leading up to the bathroom. If you use this contractor, you must be heavy on the details in your contract. Otherwise they will rush things and it will end up looking like a cheap apartment. It basically got to the point that I wanted them out so I could complete the work at the level of detail I originally expected from them. Again, per contract they finished the work, BUT the quality was just not there.

Our experience with them from the very beginning was excellent. They were very responsive, followed through on their statements, thorough, accommodating, punctual, and very hard working. We have nothing but positive things to say about their team and work ethic and would happily recommend them!

He is the most organized of any of the people who have worked on my house. Daniel is also meticulous about cleaning up. I wish I could give him 10 stars!

I interviewed for a flooring installer position here and decided to politely decline. He was prompt and professional with all of the contact and follow-up.
