We installed AC with this company. In the initial visit, was told that you can install AC without any issues. But after installation, found that its not effective in the top floor. When I called them, was told that in the top floor, return air duct is at bottom of the wall, and hot air always go high and stay at ceiling, so hot air is not coming to vent and top floor is not cooling. This is something should be checked in the initial visit and explain the issues upfront to the customer instead of letting the customer know when customer complains about it after installation. After spending huge money for the AC, am feeling bad.

Yikes! Was hoping we wouldn’t have to post a negative review here. We had someone come out to install a water line from our kitchen sink to our fridge in anticipation of getting a new fridge with a water/ice dispenser. That experience was fine. A little pricey but fine. We were told we were good to go for our new fridge. Fast forward a few weeks. New fridge comes and installers hook it up. All good. Until 12 hours later, the next morning, we realize that the plumbing under the sink wasn’t tight and therefore leaked all night long. We discovered our downstairs bathroom flooded, water and paint damage in multiple spots, plus water pooled in the kitchen under the sink and under the tile flooring. Our globe light fixture in the downstairs bathroom and light bulb were both filled with water and then water poured out of the fixture when we emptied it. Nightmare. We kept our cool. We reached out. They came out and tightened the plumbing. We asked what will be done about the damage? We provided videos and images of the damage for the manager as requested. We followed up multiple times to check status. The last 4+ weeks since the line was tightened and the initial issue was corrected we’ve waited for the manager to get back to us on how they intend to make it right. Radio silence. We’d love and welcome them to finally get back to us to make this right. We are super disappointed because we are a repeat customer who has used them for multiple services and trusted them and are now left with a terrible customer experience and to fix all this damage on our own apparently. We recognize that accidents happen so we chose the route of not getting all steaming mad and all caps-ing in our communication. Perhaps if we had they would have responded and understood the frustration and urgency we feel about this mess. Such an absolute bummer.

I am writing this review to express my dissatisfaction with the service provided by Home Comfort Alliance (formerly MM Comfort Systems). We purchased our heating system from MM Comfort System through Costco and had the company install and maintain it. Unfortunately, our smart thermostat stopped working after a power outage, and our experience with the company’s technician was quite challenging. Initially, the technician diagnosed the issue as a faulty thermostat and replaced it at a cost of over $1500. However, during his second visit to install the new thermostat, he left without fully verifying the system’s functionality. Shortly after his departure, the thermostat kept displaying error codes, and the heating system didn’t function. On his subsequent return, he declared that the circuit board was also broken and needed replacement, adding an additional cost of $1200. A week later, the technician returned with a new circuit board. Yet again, the same error code appeared shortly after he installed the new board and left. After a lengthy investigation, he concluded that the newly installed circuit board was short-circuited. He then ordered another replacement and also declared that our system had an additional problem—a coolant leak—suggesting we spend an additional $1000+ on leak detection and repair costs, totaling between $5k and $8k. In the midst of this ordeal, he recommended that we consult with the company’s sales department about replacing the entire system. However, the salesperson who came in the next day deemed this recommendation absolutely unnecessary. Once the second order of the circuit board arrived, a different technician came. Instead of installing the new board, he cleaned around the existing circuit board, and miraculously, everything started working perfectly. We strongly suspect that the initial replacement of the circuit board was unnecessary, as the same error code persisted before and after the board replacement—until the second technician made adjustments. The diagnosis of the new circuit board’s short circuit is completely baseless. Unfortunately, the company refused to provide any further explanation, dismissing our concerns as mere bad luck. In conclusion, the technician who handled our case was unprofessional, made unfounded guesses about unnecessary fixes, and even suggested an unnecessary replacement option. He appeared clueless when faced with the system’s issues, and the company’s management was unresponsive and dismissive of our feedback.
