Great service! Ben installed an EV charger for us, ran electrical conduit across our yard and mounted it on posts near our parking. Pricing was very reasonable (especially compared to what I thought a job like this would cost), and Ben did a great job explaining every step of the process.

Our HOA hired J5 Electric to install an outlet in our condominium’s community room. While the work itself was satisfactory (it’s just an outlet, after all), their professionalism left much to be desired. They missed their initial appointment, which was inconvenient, but the main reason for this 1-star review is their relentless pursuit of payment. Less than 48 hours after submitting their invoice, they were already asking to pick up payment. They followed up again a few days later, despite being informed that we are managed by a large condominium management company with a standard payment process for all vendors. J5 Electric is the first company to express such urgency regarding payment, and as an HOA volunteer, I found their repeated inquiries to be unprofessional and bothersome.

I was having a difficult time finding an Electrician willing to take a look at my project. J5 stepped in and really helped me out! They created a plan and stuck to it. I can’t say enough good thing about them. I couldn’t be happier!!

I’m writing this review on an ongoing positive experience with J5 Electric/Kristy (the President). Back in November 2023, I needed to install an EV charger for my vehicle. I specifically looked for women-owned, women-led businesses and J5 Electric stood out. I had multiple quotes/bids for this project, including the electrician who had done the original wiring for my townhouse. Despite the multiple bids, all within the same price range of one another, I went with J5 because Kristy was responsive and I believed in supporting this business. In a short week Kristy had sent out two electricians – Chris, and another electrician to get this project done. Due to unforeseen issues, the other electrician couldn’t get the project done, which has unfortunately delayed the project, but Kristy was attentive and sent in her head electrician, Chris, to finish the project, who completed it not only in a timely manner, but professional one too. Kristy made the project whole and complete when she hired a separate team to repair and patch the holes caused by the first electrician. By the end of the project, with Chris’ professionalism, and Kristy’s attentiveness, the new charger worked perfectly and its installation was not noticeable with the original architecture and build of the house. Unfortunately, a few months later, the charger had malfunctioned, as a product of the actual charger itself, and not the work J5 had done. Despite this, Kristy assisted in the return of said charger, and essentially upgraded the project to a more permanent solution in less than a week of me reaching out to her. Her electrician Ben and partner were very easy to work with, and came up with an elegant solution that integrated well into my current set-up, that now looks lovely. I have recommended J5 to my co-owners of my housing complex, and will continue to recommend them. I will continue to use J5 in the future for my residential needs, and will not hesitate to continue to recommend them to friends and family. Thank you to Kristy and J5!
