We hired HB to fix some improper wiring in our fusebox after buying an older home (50s). They did a great job with almost everything but made one small error that caused the swamp cooler controller panel to short out and need replacement. Hans took 2.5 hours to diagnose the problem and ensure everything else was working properly, and come and fix it and replace the controller free of charge. Things happen, and Hans’ willingness to make it right and his kind personal demeanor and transparency are worth five stars to us.

I was initially impressed with Hans and his team for responsiveness and initial bid of the electrical I needed for an addition on my home. Once we contacted Hans to initiate the job, I asked that we meet again and walk through the bid and discuss the details regarding changes to the plans from the original bid. A new bid was provided and we initiated the job for the rough in electrical. Hans was great to work with on allowing me to do some of the work myself to save some money, like installing the recessed lighting and placing of the electrical boxes. As we installed the boxes and lights, there were some changes we made to than what were on the plans, like placement and adding a few extra boxes which made sense that weren’t on the plans. I had communicated with Hans regarding the changes and he acknowledged and didn’t mention a difference in cost. His installers were great to work with and seemed to do a good job. Once the rough in was complete, I was sent an invoice for the amount quite a bit higher than the bid. As I had changed some of the locations and added a few lights and boxes, I didn’t expect such a high increase in the cost. I ended up paying the full amount I was billed after some discussion, because he wasn’t willing to drop the price. I was very accommodating to his team to help save them time and money, especially after they left a lot of extra wire, tools and some needed changes to pass inspection. There were no concessions on his side to make any adjustments to the price. As HB Electric was the company who did the rough in, I continued to communicate with Hans periodically regarding the finish electrical once I was ready. He acknowledged all along that he would be able to complete the work once the painting was complete. I gave Hans a heads up with 2 week notice of our completion and to get on the schedule for the electrical and he said he would pencil us in for the time I predicted we would finish. My wife and family had stayed up many nights until 1-2am to complete the work needed so we could hit he timeline we promised Hans and make sure we could hit the timeline he agreed. I gave Hans another notice 1 day prior to completion and asked to get on his schedule. I had emailed and texted him many times without a response until I asked him if he was still interested in completing the job. He responded in the text that he could fit us on the schedule in about a month. As we have been working to hit a timeline to close on a loan for our home and plans to have HB Electric finish the work they started, I am very disappointed in the unprofessional actions of Hans. I would steer clear if this company as they will say one thing and do something else. Find someone who is more reliable and up front so you don’t have any surprises.

Hans come to my house and upgraded my panel which was very old. His service was quick and affordable. He did a wonderful job and I would highly recommend him to anyone.
