Called savant and asked if they worked on old Generac generators. The answer was yes, we can have someone out today) The generator started and ran for about 8 seconds, then shut off. Tech came out and made my problem worse. Now, it no longer runs at all. We were told that the company has no one working there that can diagnose a 07. But sent my 79 year old dad a bill of $243.97 for 2 battery cables and 2 tech hours, 2 hours for 2 cables, umm!!! Spoke to the owner about my complaints and was told they don’t have anyone that can diagnose the generator, but (we can parts change and run up a bigger bill and would you like to take care of Bill now)? His suggestion to me is to replace the generator, I asked for a quote, and I am waiting on a quote and a satisfactory ending for this mess. I will happily update this when resolved. I know service is not what it used to be, but wow. Everyone who reviews can make a difference!!!

I have know Richard Savant for several years as our daughters attended the same School. Fast forward to the ice storm of 2021 and the need for a standby generator for this as well as hurricane season was more apparent than ever. Before I know that Savants was an authorized Generac dealer, installer and maintenance provider I bought 2 generators through a major distributor. When I was looking for someone to maintain and install both units Savant’s stood out in pricing and quality of work and timeline. I have a house in the LaBelle area as well as Crystal Beach and Savant Electric was able to handle both. This past Christmas freeze my unit in Crystal Beach ran for 63 hours and the LaBelle house only about 20 hours, both with no issues. I had savants come out and do the routine maintenance on both to be ready for the next extended outage.

Let me first start off by saying when Richard (owner) came out to give me a bid, I loved his spirit and demeanor! I appreciate honesty and integrity because one doesn’t see that too often nowadays. He was very thorough when explaining what I needed and why he recommended what he did. Then when his team showed up (Blake and David) they were very professional and respectful! They kept us informed every step of the process especially if it was going to inconvenience us in any way. They had a very clean work area and they paid attention to minor detail, as in, they even closed my gate when they were done, definitely wasn’t expecting that!!!!! I truly appreciate and will surely use Savant’s Electric Company if any issues arises. A name one can TRUST and depend on! May you all be abundantly blessed and filled with peace, in Jesus Christ name amen!
