Several years have gone by since I left my first review of Derrick’s work (below), but I want to add that he is still the best electrician to work with: a man of integrity, kind, thoughtful, honest, and fair. He will always be the one I call and recommend to anyone needing electrical work. When the inspector knows and respects your electrician and his work, passing everything quickly and with flying colors, you know you’ve found a gem. [My original review] There isn’t a star score high enough for Derrick Scales. From the first contact to the final inspection, he has been a dream to work with. His work has been thoughtfully planned, explained well, and extremely reasonable. He’s remained positive and accommodating, even when presented with the repeated challenges of rewiring a 90 year old home. He truly goes above and beyond in every aspect, and we recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone needing quality and reliable electric work.

Being in the real estate industry, I have worked with many contractors over the years. There are only a handful on my list of go to people who are good, knowledgeable, trust worthy and professional. Derrick Scales is definitely on that list! We are renovating an old house and had to practically rewire the whole house. Derrick was the only electrician who provided me with a detailed estimate. I felt his price was fair, but the main reason why I chose to go with Derrick was because I felt I could trust him.. To show up when he said he would, to complete the job and to somewhat stick to his estimate. We have enjoyed working with Derrick. He is very nice, communicative, responsive and of course, a good electrician. 🙂
