I put in a repair order through American Home Shield for my electrical panel that was tripping. The service I received was terrible. The electrician who came to my house was very unprofessional. He briefly looked at my electrical panel without troubleshooting and advised that I needed a 200 Amp panel due to overuse, even though my panel has been supporting normal usage under 100 amps for years. He initially quoted $2800 for a new electrical panel, but when I reviewed the claim, the quoted amount was $4300. The home warranty company then advised they would not cover the work due to the technician’s claim that the failure was due to customer overuse. I called a local electrician who immediately advised that a new panel was needed because it is 15 years old, failing due to incorrect installation, and aging—no negligence on my part. Do not do business with this company, as they do not communicate effectively.

The service request via American home shield regarding a plumbing issue was professionally resolved by the technician named Brandon. Brandon was very professional, courteous and explained each step of the plumbing process. With the exception of a previous service request, the service that was provided today was exceptional and has rekindled my trust and respect for American Home Warranty service.
