Over $400 to switch out one breaker. Apparently, the company vehicle doesn’t carry breakers which leads to the electrician leaving to “go buy one”. You’re then paying for the time it takes the electrician to retrieve the part, hoping/trusting he’s not milking the clock- crossing your fingers their vehicle doesn’t need gas. When the job was complete, I called Kolb to ask what amount of time I was charged for and found that the electrician charged about 30 mins longer than what he spent working (as evidenced by video surveillance). In addition, I never received a receipt and was told by the company it would come through my email. During the follow up call to the company, I was told a manager needed to first approve the work prior to my receiving a receipt. I still haven’t received any form of monetary breakdown for work conducted. Consumer Beware.

Called for emergency services at 5:30am – was told someone would call us back when they got into the office. We waited three hours and heard nothing before calling again, when they told us the earliest someone could be there was between 4-8pm. When we found someone else who could be here sooner, my husband tried to call as a courtesy to cancel four times and got disconnected every time, but I with a different phone number got through. The advertising as a 24 hour emergency service with a fleet ready to go at all times gave us the expectation that someone would be able to come out and help us quickly, but that is 100% not the case here. Don’t waste your time with them!

Called to schedule an estimate for electrical needs. Person answering the phone had no knowledge of anything and no interest in truly being helpful. When I asked to talk with someone who could answer my questions. The ‘guesstimate ‘ she came back with on some of my questions were truly ridiculous. 1-1/2 hours to change out each outside light fixture @ $160/hour? Yeah, no, and I wasn’t born yesterday. I had another estimate done today, master electrician stated it would take the most 40 min per unit. I have used Kolb Frederick in the past and they were a great company. This interaction maki stear clear.

The entire experience was nothing short of excellent with Kolb Electric. They responded promptly to my online inquiry, and John came out to complete an estimate. John was a pleasure to work with, and the estimate was very fair considering the work to be completed: installing five outlets, surge protector for an elevator, panel surge protector, and a light fixture. As for the install, Both Mike & Randy were very professional, and did a fantastic job with the installation. I could not have asked for a better experience, and I would absolutely use your services again, and recommend your company! Thanks for making this a painless process!

Very prompt and professional. Called them with an emergency at 3 am and job was completed by 5:30 am. Technician and after hour staff are extremely efficient.

Main Circuit breaker tripped about a week prior. I reset it and didn’t think too much of it. Earlier this week main tripped in the middle of the day. Started to worry, was going to call electrician next day. Just after midnight it tripped again. Breaker was really hot. Called Royal Electric first thing in the morning and left voice message. They never called me back. Called Kolb Electric and they had a tech over to my house at 4:00 in afternoon. That tech was nervous about about the situation and said i needed an HVAC person. So since I had experience with Larry and Son and had a service contract with them due to a prior plumbing issue. I called them. From there everything went smooth and problem was resolved when they brought in a good electrician, Anytime Electric (Darrell Eby).Anytime replace the main circuit breaker and haven’t had a problem since. KOLB electric contacted me after the situation and did the proper thing. I appreciated the professionalism.
