Was told they would fit me in and they would call in the AM with an approximate time. So I took the day off work so I could be home no matter what time they could be here but never got a call so I had to finally call them and receptionist said it will be later in the after or possibly the next day (Saturday) and I said if they can do Saturday that would be great. Finally got a call at 3pm saying they weren’t coming today and wanted to do Monday….apparently Saturday wasn’t an option anymore. I told them I couldn’t take another day of work for them to maybe come, maybe not. I don’t know if it’s the receptionist or just the owners don’t care about jerking people around but if you value your time and customer service I would go with ANYONE else….

We could not be happier with the service that Mattoon Electric provided for us. So many times you have to leave a message at a business that may or may not get back to you. Not so with Mattoon Electric. They answer their phone, which in itself is very special — PLUS they keep you apprised along the way! We had some new lights installed, a ceiling fan light kit installed with switch update (that required fan replacement to do wiring), a couple of kitchen cabinet lights removed, new switches and outlets in the kitchen. THANK YOU Brad and Brian for the great, conscientious, neat work you did! And THANK YOU Anna for being such a wonderful front for your company, you are a great communicator! We appreciate your professional service and highly recommend your business!

Chris and Kaleb are excellent electricians. They came out and fixed my electrical problems without complaining. Make sure you ask for them every time you call

Great prices and same within an hour of the call and had a part we needed in hand we couldn’t find anywhere else. So easy to talk on the phone and actually answered unlike most!!! Loved having them work on our electrical highly recommend

My family was a customer of Mattoon Electric Inc. before I became employed for them, almost 9 years ago. My parents had bought a rental house that needed rewired-MEI did an amazing job and were so informative and helpful along the way. I am proud to work for such a hardworking and amazing company! We have several “regulars” and a lot of customers even become friends : ) However we have never done work for Mr Peebles or Jun so I’m not sure how they gave MEI the rating they did? But I would love for them to schedule an appointment so we can show them we are a 5 star company! : )

Easy to schedule & work with. Had a visit to determine plan & get a bid. Two guys showed up as scheduled and took care of the job in an efficient and clean manner. Perfect finishing touch to our kitchen remodel! They do great work! Very professional & polite! Highly recommend!
