Paid $500 for repair only to have the problem repeat a few hours later. When I called for help the owner was combative and I had to end the call leaving me with the original issue and out $500.

A wire went bad that was put in by an energy company years ago when our building was built in 1972. Had Duke energy come out and they said it was our responsibility to have it replaced. We immediately called and spoke to Pete who honestly told us it was Duke energy’s responsibility. Pete could have very easily charged us the large amount of money that it would have cost to replace this entire wiring system. We are so fortunate to have found an honest electrical company with Coastline Electric.

Even the electrician says the electrical In our new construction home is a mess. We purchased a new construction home in march 2019 in which Coastline did the electrical. Upon inspection 5 outlets in the home did not work. That was repaired prior to closing. After moving in, we tried to have tv service installed. The home run and wiring in all bedrooms was the wrong wire for tv. They pulled the wrong wire through the entire house. Builder said he paid for coax. This was not coax. I called Coastline. A manager was supposed to call. Never received a call. We had to pay direct tv to run wires and extra money for wireless equipment. After living in the home a few months, we find more issues. The garage, kitchen, and back patio are all on the same 15amp breaker. We can’t plug in a small kitchen appliance without it popping the breaker. Now it’s Christmas. We plug in our Christmas tree next to our tv and the breaker keeps popping. This is a totally separate breaker from the kitchen. It’s a brand new Christmas tree. Today an electrician comes out. His assessment is that the electrical is “a mess” there are too many areas tied into one breaker. He stated he would have never wired the home like this. He calls his manager. The manager says, the home passed inspection so they did their job. If I want to have properly working electrical outlets I’ll need to pay them to run separate circuits. This is a brand new home finished in 2019. It’s ludicrous that I would need to pay to have it re wired. Even if the electrical is to code, it is not a normally functioning home and the work was not done properly. Just because you are allowed to do something doesn’t mean it’s the right way to do it. Extremely poor ethics with this company. They do not stand behind their work. Do not trust your home with Coastline.
