I looked for an install of an outlet for a new dishwasher and garbage disposal so that I could have installers come in later in the week to set up the dishwasher. 1 outlet and 1 switch was what I needed, instead I was given 3 quotes including one for a whole house electrical overhaul for >$10,000 which was basically a waste of my time for them to pull together. The quote I accepted was eventually $600 to install 1outlet and 1 switch. I thought this was still an excessive cost, but given I had installers coming in that needed the outlet I accepted it. When the installers for dishwasher came in, they refused to install the dishwasher because the outlet was not GFI protected. I had just paid $600 for an outlet that was not to code. I had just paid $600 for an outlet that could be a danger to my house because of how close it is located to water (a kitchen sink). I had just paid $600 to further delay my dishwasher install. When I had Mister Sparky come back to fix their mistake, the reason I was given for the outlet not being to code was that the house was old so the old code could be grandfathered in for my application. So I just paid $600 for an install that wasn’t to today’s code so that Mister sparky could save a few bucks on outlet hardware that they would normally use for this install on a newer home. I would never use Mister Sparky again. I do not need a $10,000 quote for something I wasn’t asking for. I do not need to overpay for an outlet and a switch. I do not need to have an installer have greater profit so that I can have a less safe system. I do not need to waste my time again.

These guys were amazing. Installed the same day as the estimate and were so respectful to our house. Left everything clean and tidy. And when we noticed an issue with the hardware the next day (on a Saturday) they sent someone right away to fix it for free. We will definitely be using them again!

We had a major issue with half of house losing power and no breakers tripped. We called Mr. Sparky and they came out early the next morning to diagnose and fix the issue within 2 hours. The two technicians Keith and Xavier are very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They promptly went through our whole house until they figured out the issue. They wore booties and were very respectful of our property. They offer a Veterans discount and the prices are very reasonable. We are so pleased with this company, we signed up for their annual protection plan. They are officially our GO-TO company for any of our future electrical needs. Give them a call. You’ll be happy you did. 🙂
