I received a coupon from this company in the mail, so I had a technician come out to look at my AC unit that was unable to keep my home below 75F on the hottest summer days. The tech attempted to upsell me on numerous unnecessary fixes, including replacing a condensate p-trap that was not clogged, a capacitor in the compressor that was not preventing it from running, and installing a filter dryer when one was already present. Their initial repair estimate was well over $3000, largely driven by charging approximately $240/lb for R410-A (a competitor eventually charged me $177/lb). I declined any further service from Mighty Pine and instead decided to get a second opinion. Mighty Pine’s technician still charged me $276 for the site visit and “tune up.” Ultimately, they would not honor the coupon I had received in the mail. Their reasoning was that my final total was automatically discounted by 10% due to the neighborhood I live in; this made me ineligible for the coupon’s discount even though it would have saved me an additional $50+ over the neighborhood “discount”. My AC issues were ultimately resolved by another company for less than $700. Overall, my impression of Mighty Pine was that they were trying to extract as much money from me as possible. I cannot recommend their services to anyone in good faith.

Mighty Pine talked through what we needed with reason and easy explanations. They didn’t try to upsell or pressure us. Their cost was half of the quote we received from another company for the exact same Carrier unit. They gave us a portable A/C unit while we waited for our scheduled installation during the hottest days of June. Greatly appreciated. They treated us with respect and so I respect them and can highly recommend them.
