Had an issue with the air conditioning at my rental and called this company. The tech that came out told me that the entire hvac system would need to be replaced and because the house was so old they would probably have to rip out the old ducts and replace those too. When I asked how much all that was going to cost he said round about 10k. We had another tech go out who fixed two parts of the hvac system and not only did it cost less than a fraction of that cost but it’s been running fine ever since. I believe this company has been able to dupe others into paying extreme amounts for issues that are not actually happening. The tech was very polite but 10k is truly insane.

So it’s Sunday morning and it’s Father’s Day. Bob Cassis showed up at our door and spent three hours making a repair. He also showed us things that we could do to make our system more efficient. Not every company would send someone out on Sunday morning when he could have been spending time with his family. Bob just wanted to make things right. He is awesome! There is no question in our minds that we will call on Bert Black for all of our future HVAC needs. Thank you again, Bob for putting the customer first. 6/16/2024

I was quoted $13,000 for a water heater! That was the cheaper option. The one with a 2 year warranty was $18,000. I called to speak with a manager or supervisor to discuss why the cost was that high but never got a call back. Even commercial water heaters don’t cost that much. Beware.

The technician was very professional and knowledgeable. My mother felt comfortable. He even provided an estimate the same day. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing trustworthy people they can count on.

Had a floor socket short out in my living room, Bert Black was my first call for an electrician. They offered me same day service and arrived on time for the appointment, and had the problem resolved in a very short time. Technician was friendly and courteous and knowledgeable and they offer a 30 day warranty on their work. Give Bert Black a call when electrical issues arise.

I would do ZERO stars if that was an option. I called to have an estimate done for a toilet repair and leaking sprayer on my kitchen sink. I informed them that I lived in Pine Bluff. I was told that the estimate was free. When the technicians arrived they were courteous and professional. However, the estimate was a bit high, so I declined the service. NO WORK WAS DONE. Next thing I know I got a bill for $82.49. I called and spoke with Virginia. Informed her that no work was done and the estimate was free, which she confirmed. I thought that was the end of it. Fast forward a few months, I got a voicemail from Virginia at Bert Black saying that my bill was past due and she was going to send the account to collections if we didn’t pay. I called and spoke to Virginia, again stating that no work was done, the estimate was free and I had talked to her before. She was very apologetic, again, I thought that was the end of it. Today, 4/27/2024, in my mailbox there was a bill from Bert Black dated 12/04/2023 stating that I owed $82.49. Now all of a sudden there is a Service call and trip fee that was not mentioned in any conversation before. So now we are making the “free estimate” fit the charge because someone made a mistake? They have an office in Pine Bluff!! This is getting reported to the BBB. Had I known that this business would not be honest in the communications and charges I would never have called.

Bert Black Plumbing from Pine Bluff did a great job. They didn’t mind getting their hands dirty and actually digging to look for my water leak problem. Got leak fixed + they looked for a way to add an additional line and got that job completed also. Fast service was completed in 2 trips and they always notified me when they were on the way. Thanks again to Steven Ray and his apprentice Ryan.

Beware of this company. Requested someone to come out and fix our flange and replace the wax ring and install a new toilet (already purchased). The plumber was here for 10 minutes and quoted us $850. Absolutely ridiculous. Also if you don’t accept their quote they charge a $80 service fee for coming out. Another plumber has quoted us $100. Would never call again.
