The electrician came to my house past the time window. He inspected my electric baseboard heater. I already agreed to pay $85 just to show up. He quoted $360 to fix it. He switched the thermostat with a working one, and the heating element turned on, indicating the original thermostat was broken. I declined his offer to replace it for $200 more dollars. My husband paid him. Before he left, he went into the heating element and unscrewed something which I couldn’t see. After he left, the previously working heating element did not work. I called to complain that I paid $360 and now the thermostat and the heating element was not working. They just told me the thermostat was broken and refused to help. I am lodging a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
