Riikola Construction Co LLC 5 years agoBefore I moved into my house in Hardin Valley, Rick Riikola was hired to build a shower. It is a beautiful shower and in fact was one of the major selling points of the house. However, about a month after we moved in it started leaking into our kitchen. I contacted the previous owners of the house to determine who had built the shower which they say was between 3-5 years old (They weren’t too sure). After a few calls and voicemails by myself and the former owners, Mr. Riikola called me back saying, “That’s weird, I haven’t had any showers leak before.” He told me he would come out on Friday after lunch to look at the shower. That was the last time I ever spoke to Mr. Riikola. Friday came and went, he did not. I worked out a deal with another contractor that he would rebuild my shower after I tore it apart. I started deconstruction of my shower yesterday. After I pulled out the floor tiles and the bottom layer of the tiles on the wall, I found out why it was leaking. The concrete walls at the corner of the shower were not adjoined and the liner that is supposed to be set up underneath it was not pulled up in the corner. Once the water in the shower got past the grout, there was nothing that kept it from going straight into the wood in the walls of the shower. I have pictures to prove that the shower was installed incorrectly and will provide them to anyone who would like to contact me to see the evidence before making the wise decision of not doing business with Mr. Riikola (Not that he would show up anyway). As of now, I have a bathroom full of concrete dust, a partially demolished shower, and a big hole in the sheetrock of my kitchen ceiling that had to be cut to alleviate the buildup of water. Maybe my situation is an anomaly. Maybe he is normally dependable and does fine work, but speaking from my experience, his word means nothing and he does not stand behind his shoddy craftsmanship. Update: A few years later. He apparently also put the roof on the house 8 years ago and it is going to have to be replaced as it wasn’t installed correctly.

NEF Properties 5 months agoI bought property from Nef 36 at bassin express Istanbul they delayed the delivery almost two years agreed to compensate me small amount even not cover one third of the rent, I agreed and fill and signed the required documents to Nef management.after I did they ignored all my communications no any response to email while they did before I signed the documents I am requesting the top management to act as soon as possible to pay my two year delay compensation as per Turkey law

M-3 Construction, Inc. a year agoCheap, shoddy work in my remodeled condo. Robert ignored my requests for help when I asked for help with items he didn’t correct (when he said he had prior to closing & after inspection). I’m left with bathtubs that weren’t caulked, a brand new microwave that doesn’t work at all & was installed when it knowingly did not work, doors that won’t lock, flooring that doesn’t meet the walls, a bathroom vanity that fell apart 4 months after moving in (the drawer was never lined up correctly) and multiple other issues but he ignores me. I’m out my entire nest egg. Avoid this unethical crook. ETA: we opened the spare paint used to paint our entire home because we needed to do some touch ups. We found that it was mostly dried up and a stir stick left inside. So courteous! Why bother?
