After having my Ipé deck treated annually for many years by a competitor, I switched to Mardeck’s hoping for a better experience. They outperformed the previous contractor in every way! Mardeck’s was responsive in answering questions and scheduling. They did an outstanding, neat and thorough job in power washing, sanding and staining the deck. When I added work not originally contracted, they adapted immediately and charged a very reasonable additional amount. For years, I had asked the other contractor to replace the missing wood plugs that cover the recessed screws. They were never able [or perhaps even willing] to do so. Mardeck’s located a supplier, had them within a few days, and installed them at the time the deck was refinished. Don’t waste your time and money with another contractor if you want a professional job well done by a company that treats you as a valued customer.

Excellent, prompt, and thorough work. After getting four quotes for needed work, we hired Mardeck’s to power-wash and stain the deck and outdoor furniture and to power-wash our driveway and entrance steps. They were not the least expensive quote but the most detailed and came highly recommended by a neighbor. We were always informed about when the workers would arrive; the jobs were done completely and to our satisfaction. It looks to us as though we have a new deck and furniture. We would use them again.

Mardeck’s did an incredible job for me. I went under contract on a condo that had engineered hardwood floors that needed to be refinished. I got multiple quotes, including from a company that had a perfect rating from Angie’s List. Mardeck’s pricing was fair and reasonable. In addition, one of the other companies told me that it would be impossible to refinish my floors because the existing scratches were too deep. Mario disagreed with this evaluation, and he was right. I can’t even tell where the old scratches used to be! The company also did an incredible job of accommodating my narrow time window to complete the project. I only had a one-week window between when I closed on the condo and when my furniture would be moved in. Mardeck’s expedited my project to fit within the narrow window I needed. Most importantly, the floors turned out absolutely beautiful. Their work absolutely transformed the space. I was so impressed with the quality of their work and the level of customer service. I would recommend them to anyone.

Mardeck’s recently completed a large project for us. They excelled not only in their ability to produce excellent hardwood floor restoration but also in general contractor skills such as bathroom remodel, painting, hardware installation, ceiling fans, recessed lights, etc. I would not hesitate to re hire Mario Gomez and his crew.

My wife and I found Mardeck’s through the recommendation of a friend. They did a great job installing granite countertops last year, which prompted us to hire them to install bamboo flooring on our first floor and basement stairs. They were excellent to work with and offer competitive prices. Very professional, friendly, detail oriented and great overall work product. On top of installing the flooring, they also diagnosed a squeak that was in our subflooring and were able to brace the joists and now, no squeak! I would definitely recommend them to others and work with them for future

If it was possible for me to rate this company’s flooring work with negative stars, it deserve that. I hired this company even though her price was 30% higher than the others with the philosophy that if we pay more we can get better quality. The performance and service of this company’s work is the most horrible there can be. Every step of floor refinish was executed poorly with worst quality results. There is uneven sanding, stain is not evenly applied, some areas have little stain, others have blotches of the stain, applied in circular motions in some places and against the grain direction in other places. Saw dust was not vacuumed and removed before polyurethane was applied. The saw dust is visible under the polyurethane. It has been less than a month and some finish is bubbling up in some areas. Other than poor quality, the company’s crew sanded the floor and left to do another job that I found very unprofessional to start another job before that is in progress is finished. I singed contract for 3 coats of polyurethane and only 2 were applied. When I pointed that out to the owner, he said that he considers sealant as a Polyurethane coat. My house was left as a mess after the job. No dust containment was done during the sanding process. There was stain on the baseboard, kitchen cabinets, prefinished floor and walls. I would not recommend anyone to hire this company for flooring jobs.
