As the owner and contractor of The Problem Solver, his business philosophy perfectly aligned with our needs: prioritizing top-notch work, timely completion, and fair pricing. We entrusted Tom with remodeling two bathrooms, a decision we do not regret. The workmanship displayed by Tom’s sons, Nathan and Trevor, along with the subcontractors he handpicked for their dedication and work ethic, was exceptional. Their expertise and access to the best tools ensured the project’s success. Additionally, Tom’s communication skills were commendable; he remained accessible and proactive in addressing any concerns throughout the project. The Problem Solver was professional, arrived when he said he would, moved the furniture, hung plastic around the ceiling work area to contain any dust, and did a fantastic job. You absolutely can’t tell what portion of the ceiling was repaired. Once finished they cleaned everything up, moved the furniture back and went on their way. I highly recommend the Problem Solver.

In a word-EXCELLENT! The problem we had was to repair and refurbish large wooden garage doors for a 5 car garage that were sun damaged, rotting , warping and leaking around the seals. We called The Problem Solvers and had a callback within 2 hours, an appointment the next day for assessment and plan development and 8 days later we had fabulous garage doors plus two refurbished gates. STRONG POINTS- professional appearance and attitude, knowledge and experience, excellent communication skills(we were kept in the loop daily, more when required),teamwork by everyone on the job,never late, kept a clean work site whether on or off the job for the day, job completion on time. I luckily found Tom Simko and his sons (a family-owned business) after discovering a longstanding and very serious leak from a pipe in my wall. The walls in my kitchen and living room on one entire side of my house had to be torn out, dried out, and closed up. They handled the restoration of my walls being sure to match the wall texture and paint color. In the process, they added electrical outlets, installed a built-in fireplace, and hung a new tv. They left my house looking much better than it did before the leak. Mr Simko is also talented at designing interiors. His 2 sons did all the restoration work. In 2 days, they were in and out. I can’t say enough about the quality of the work. They are focused, serious, highly skilled, well-mannered hard-workers. They showed-up and stopped on time, they were organized, they paid a lot of attention to detail and cleaned up afterwards each day they were there. I found them to be communicative, helpful and respectful of me and my property. Just basically good people you feel totally comfortable having in your home. I’m so glad I found them at such a stressful time right here in Gold Canyon. I’m happy with the results and would not hesitate to use them again.

Our garage door trim in Gold Canyon needed replacing, and Thomas and sons did a wonderful, professional job. No job too small or big. They’ve done great work at my elderly mom’s house as well.

Recently we became aware of a local company here in Gold Canyon named the The Problem Solver. The owners of the company are Thomas and Nancy Simko and their sons, Trevor and Nathan Simko. Since meeting him, he and his sons have repaired a ceiling drywall leak in our garage, fixed the doors in the storage area in the garage and made the doors look great. Thomas and his sons also removed old electronics in the family room ceiling, repaired the drywall and made the ceiling look like new. Now they are installing cabinets and shelves in the laundry room and giving the laundry room a whole new look. They also refurbishing the gate into the backyard. They also replaced the lights to LED cans in the bathrooms, laundry room, and bedrooms giving a new look to those areas. I would highly recommend The Problem Solver if you need updating in your house , inside and out quickly and efficiently . Thank you, The Problem Solver Team.

Tom & his 2 sons bring a local approach to Gold Canyon where they reside. He has mentored his sons with his experiences, quality and value in mind. He works well on large and small projects. So, if you need a general contractor in lieu of a handyman who is not registered with the AZ ROC, you just found your specialist!

Tom Simko was great to work with on our remodel project. He was responsive to questions and concerns, easy to reach and quick to respond. I knew I could count on him for any issues that came up. Tom had a number of contractors that work with him and I couldn’t recommend them more, they did an awesome job! They showed up on time and did exactly what they said they were going to do. Tom works local in Gold Canyon and takes great pride in staying local and we appreciate that. I’d highly recommend Tom for working on any project!

Barbara-James Veneskey My journey to remodeling my bathroom started with a modern farmhouse vanity. Thomas Simko helped me to create this vision. The finished bathroom is more than I could have imagined. Nathan, Trevor and Matt Olson Construction worked tirelessly installing the subway tile in the shower even though the walls were not square. The shower floor tile was very intricate too. Tyler Wyley from DragonFly Mechanical, the plumber also shared ideas for the shower including the center drain and placement of the shower head and controls. The flooring matched my theme too. Plus finer touches were done like painting my doors, installing new door knobs/hinges and painting the vent registers. Every day my house was left clean and even my furniture was dusted. I highly recommend Thomas Simko and his team for any remodeling projects that you have.

Thomas Simko, and his sons, Nathan and Trevor, are a local company that does exactly as its name implies, “solves problems”. We had them remove and install new patio ceilings, repair and restore our outside gate, remove pavers that were not properly aligned, add needed mortar, and remove/replace floor grouting in the master bath. All work was done professionally, and the crew was always here when they said they would be…never late nor a no show. We are excited about using them again for a kitchen cabinet project next month! As an added plus, we encountered computer issues while they were working here, and Nathan kindly assisted us in resolving the problem.
